कृ॒णु॒ष्व पाजः॒ प्रसि॑तिं॒ न पृ॒थ्वीं या॒हि राजे॒वाम॑वा॒ँ इभे॑न । तृ॒ष्वीमनु॒ प्रसि॑तिं द्रूणा॒नोऽस्ता॑सि॒ विध्य॑ र॒क्षस॒स्तपि॑ष्ठैः
kṛṇuṣva pājaḥ prasitiṃ na pṛthvīṃ yāhi rājevāmavām̐ ibhena tṛṣvīmanu prasitiṃ drūṇāno'stāsi vidhya rakṣasastapiṣṭhaiḥ
Make the refuge spread, press it not to earth; come hither as king to both sides by these two. For thirst this refuge you have spread; protect by rites with steadfast guardians.

tava bhramāsa āśuyā patantyanu spṛśa dhṛṣatā śośucānaḥ tapūṃṣyagne juhvā pataṃgānasaṃdito vi sṛja viṣvagulkāḥ
Your forms quickly wander, touching and falling; the steadfast those who mourn the dried ones. O Agni, sacrifice, dispersing winged creatures; scatter the many round spheres.

प्रति॒ स्पशो॒ वि सृ॑ज॒ तूर्णि॑तमो॒ भवा॑ पा॒युर्वि॒शो अ॒स्या अद॑ब्धः । यो नो॑ दू॒रे अ॒घशं॑सो॒ यो अन्त्यग्ने॒ माकि॑ष्टे॒ व्यथि॒रा द॑धर्षीत्
prati spaśo vi sṛja tūrṇitamo bhavā pāyurviśo asyā adabdhaḥ yo no dūre aghaśaṃso yo antyagne mākiṣṭe vyathirā dadharṣīt
Send forth swiftly the splendor that shines; be the shower of strength for this boundless condition. He who is far, the sinner—O Agni—who at the end was not surpassed, he would have entrenched distress.

udagne tiṣṭha pratyā tanuṣva nya1mitrām̐ oṣatāttigmahete yo no arātiṃ samidhāna cakre nīcā taṃ dhakṣyatasaṃ na śuṣkam
Stand up near the rising fire; stretch forth, O friend, we hasten for the healer. He who made us not undone by offering and heap—him lowly shall the dexterous not leave dry.

ऊ॒र्ध्वो भ॑व॒ प्रति॑ वि॒ध्याध्य॒स्मदा॒विष्कृ॑णुष्व॒ दैव्या॑न्यग्ने । अव॑ स्थि॒रा त॑नुहि यातु॒जूनां॑ जा॒मिमजा॑मिं॒ प्र मृ॑णीहि॒ शत्रू॑न्
ūrdhvo bhava prati vidhyādhyasmadāviṣkṛṇuṣva daivyānyagne ava sthirā tanuhi yātujūnāṃ jāmimajāmiṃ pra mṛṇīhi śatrūn
Be high, O divine, and spread from pride cast out; make the mortal ones steady. Bring the steeds of the victors, birthless and born, destroy the hostile.

स ते॑ जानाति सुम॒तिं य॑विष्ठ॒ य ईव॑ते॒ ब्रह्म॑णे गा॒तुमैर॑त् । विश्वा॑न्यस्मै सु॒दिना॑नि रा॒यो द्यु॒म्नान्य॒र्यो वि दुरो॑ अ॒भि द्यौ॑त्
sa te jānāti sumatiṃ yaviṣṭha ya īvate brahmaṇe gātumairat viśvānyasmai sudināni rāyo dyumnānyaryo vi duro abhi dyaut
He knows your good counsel, the beloved, who moves like a sacrificial singer to the priest. All realms to him on auspicious days the wealths of heaven and earth were given; O radiant one, he shone forth.

सेद॑ग्ने अस्तु सु॒भगः॑ सु॒दानु॒र्यस्त्वा॒ नित्ये॑न ह॒विषा॒ य उ॒क्थैः । पिप्री॑षति॒ स्व आयु॑षि दुरो॒णे विश्वेद॑स्मै सु॒दिना॒ सास॑दि॒ष्टिः
sedagne astu subhagaḥ sudānuryastvā nityena haviṣā ya ukthaiḥ piprīṣati sva āyuṣi duroṇe viśvedasmai sudinā sāsadiṣṭiḥ
May sacrificial Agni be auspicious, giving kind offerings always by hymns. He delights in life, in the hard place, for all these blessings on auspicious days are established.

अर्चा॑मि ते सुम॒तिं घोष्य॒र्वाक्सं ते॑ वा॒वाता॑ जरतामि॒यं गीः । स्वश्वा॑स्त्वा सु॒रथा॑ मर्जयेमा॒स्मे क्ष॒त्राणि॑ धारये॒रनु॒ द्यून्
arcāmi te sumatiṃ ghoṣyarvāksaṃ te vāvātā jaratāmiyaṃ gīḥ svaśvāstvā surathā marjayemāsme kṣatrāṇi dhārayeranu dyūn
I declare to you, O wise, the well-planned word; I invoke these songs for thy horses. Cleanse our chariot, O hero, uphold the realms with armour, guarding the steeds.

इ॒ह त्वा॒ भूर्या च॑रे॒दुप॒ त्मन्दोषा॑वस्तर्दीदि॒वांस॒मनु॒ द्यून् । क्रीळ॑न्तस्त्वा सु॒मन॑सः सपेमा॒भि द्यु॒म्ना त॑स्थि॒वांसो॒ जना॑नाम्
iha tvā bhūryā caredupa tmandoṣāvastardīdivāṃsamanu dyūn krīḷantastvā sumanasaḥ sapemābhi dyumnā tasthivāṃso janānām
Here more do thou fare forward, laying aside the slow maladies, stirring up the skies. Play, O noble-minded, with the steeds; the heavenward beams stand for assembled people.

यस्त्वा॒ स्वश्वः॑ सुहिर॒ण्यो अ॑ग्न उप॒याति॒ वसु॑मता॒ रथे॑न । तस्य॑ त्रा॒ता भ॑वसि॒ तस्य॒ सखा॒ यस्त॑ आति॒थ्यमा॑नु॒षग्जुजो॑षत्
yastvā svaśvaḥ suhiraṇyo agna upayāti vasumatā rathena tasya trātā bhavasi tasya sakhā yasta ātithyamānuṣagjujoṣat
Who brings thee, O golden-horsed Agni, with wealth upon the chariot, he becomes thy savior; his comrade is he who entertains guests and delights warriors.

म॒हो रु॑जामि ब॒न्धुता॒ वचो॑भि॒स्तन्मा॑ पि॒तुर्गोत॑मा॒दन्वि॑याय । त्वं नो॑ अ॒स्य वच॑सश्चिकिद्धि॒ होत॑र्यविष्ठ सुक्रतो॒ दमू॑नाः
maho rujāmi bandhutā vacobhistanmā piturgotamādanviyāya tvaṃ no asya vacasaścikiddhi hotaryaviṣṭha sukrato damūnāḥ
I roar mightily with the bonds of speech; do not, O father Gotama, chase me away. You, maker of oblations, establish for us the power of speech, O hotar, shining with sacrificial skill.

अस्व॑प्नजस्त॒रण॑यः सु॒शेवा॒ अत॑न्द्रासोऽवृ॒का अश्र॑मिष्ठाः । ते पा॒यवः॑ स॒ध्र्य॑ञ्चो नि॒षद्याग्ने॒ तव॑ नः पान्त्वमूर
asvapnajastaraṇayaḥ suśevā atandrāso'vṛkā aśramiṣṭhāḥ te pāyavaḥ sadhryañco niṣadyāgne tava naḥ pāntvamūra
Born of sleeplessness, traversing, well-served, the watchful wolves dwelt in the retreat. They washed for the waters; seat us, O Agni, may your purifying streams protect us.

ये पा॒यवो॑ मामते॒यं ते॑ अग्ने॒ पश्य॑न्तो अ॒न्धं दु॑रि॒तादर॑क्षन् । र॒रक्ष॒ तान्सु॒कृतो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दा॒ दिप्स॑न्त॒ इद्रि॒पवो॒ नाह॑ देभुः
ye pāyavo māmateyaṃ te agne paśyanto andhaṃ duritādarakṣan rarakṣa tānsukṛto viśvavedā dipsanta idripavo nāha debhuḥ
Those waters who thought of me—O Agni, seeing them, preserved the blind from hardship. Protect those benefactors, O all-knowing one; the shining gods accepted a share from the waters.

त्वया॑ व॒यं स॑ध॒न्य१॒॑स्त्वोता॒स्तव॒ प्रणी॑त्यश्याम॒ वाजा॑न् । उ॒भा शंसा॑ सूदय सत्यतातेऽनुष्ठु॒या कृ॑णुह्यह्रयाण
tvayā vayaṃ sadhanya1stvotāstava praṇītyaśyāma vājān ubhā śaṃsā sūdaya satyatāte'nuṣṭhuyā kṛṇuhyahrayāṇa
By you we are the gathered, by you the nourishment; your bounty made the chariots dark with wealth. Both auspicious glories shall rise, truly to be observed; perform rites, O generous one, with offerings and hymns.

अ॒या ते॑ अग्ने स॒मिधा॑ विधेम॒ प्रति॒ स्तोमं॑ श॒स्यमा॑नं गृभाय । दहा॒शसो॑ र॒क्षसः॑ पा॒ह्य१॒॑स्मान्द्रु॒हो नि॒दो मि॑त्रमहो अव॒द्यात्
ayā te agne samidhā vidhema prati stomaṃ śasyamānaṃ gṛbhāya dahāśaso rakṣasaḥ pāhya1smāndruho nido mitramaho avadyāt
O Agni, we shall set these fuel-bundles before you and offer the hymn, bearing the ripening crop. Guard us from the ravenous fierce ones; drive away enmity and slumber, and tell Mitra to be gracious.
