कृ॒णु॒ष्व पाजः॒ प्रसि॑तिं॒ न पृ॒थ्वीं या॒हि राजे॒वाम॑वा॒ँ इभे॑न । तृ॒ष्वीमनु॒ प्रसि॑तिं द्रूणा॒नोऽस्ता॑सि॒ विध्य॑ र॒क्षस॒स्तपि॑ष्ठैः
kṛṇuṣva pājaḥ prasitiṃ na pṛthvīṃ yāhi rājevāmavām̐ ibhena tṛṣvīmanu prasitiṃ drūṇāno'stāsi vidhya rakṣasastapiṣṭhaiḥ
Make the refuge spread, press it not to earth; come hither as king to both sides by these two. For thirst this refuge you have spread; protect by rites with steadfast guardians.
Put forth your strength, Agni, as a fowler spreads a capacious snare; proceed like a king attended by his followers on his elephant; you are the scatterer (of your foes); following the swift-moving host consume the rākṣasas with your fiercest flames.
PUT forth like a wide-spreading net thy vigour; go like a mighty King with his attendants. Thou, following thy swift net, shootest arrows: transfix the fiends with darts that burn most fiercely.
