प्रति॒ स्पशो॒ वि सृ॑ज॒ तूर्णि॑तमो॒ भवा॑ पा॒युर्वि॒शो अ॒स्या अद॑ब्धः । यो नो॑ दू॒रे अ॒घशं॑सो॒ यो अन्त्यग्ने॒ माकि॑ष्टे॒ व्यथि॒रा द॑धर्षीत्
prati spaśo vi sṛja tūrṇitamo bhavā pāyurviśo asyā adabdhaḥ yo no dūre aghaśaṃso yo antyagne mākiṣṭe vyathirā dadharṣīt
Send forth swiftly the splendor that shines; be the shower of strength for this boundless condition. He who is far, the sinner—O Agni—who at the end was not surpassed, he would have entrenched distress.
Do you, who are most rapid, direct your (flames) against opposing (rays), and, unresisted, become the protector of this your people against the calumniator who is remote or who is nigh; let no malevolent (foe) prevail against us (who are) your worshippers.
Send thy spies forward, flectest in thy motion; be, ne'er deceived, the guardian of this people From him who, near or far, is bent on evil, and let no trouble sent from thee o'ercome us.
