प्र दे॑व॒त्रा ब्रह्म॑णे गा॒तुरे॑त्व॒पो अच्छा॒ मन॑सो॒ न प्रयु॑क्ति । म॒हीं मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य धा॒सिं पृ॑थु॒ज्रय॑से रीरधा सुवृ॒क्तिम्
pra devatrā brahmaṇe gāturetvapo acchā manaso na prayukti mahīṃ mitrasya varuṇasya dhāsiṃ pṛthujrayase rīradhā suvṛktim
May the gods grant the Brahmin his song, the worshipper his heat, the excellent mind its effective action. Earth for Mitra and Varuna, the servant; spread widely the praise, splendidly endowed.

अध्व॑र्यवो ह॒विष्म॑न्तो॒ हि भू॒ताच्छा॒प इ॑तोश॒तीरु॑शन्तः । अव॒ याश्चष्टे॑ अरु॒णः सु॑प॒र्णस्तमास्य॑ध्वमू॒र्मिम॒द्या सु॑हस्ताः
adhvaryavo haviṣmanto hi bhūtācchāpa itośatīruśantaḥ ava yāścaṣṭe aruṇaḥ suparṇastamāsyadhvamūrmimadyā suhastāḥ
The oblations-bearing priests are potent; beings cross over from here by the shore. The ruddy-splendored, wide-winged Aruna was their stirring protector, with hands of friendliness.

अध्व॑र्यवो॒ऽप इ॑ता समु॒द्रम॒पां नपा॑तं ह॒विषा॑ यजध्वम् । स वो॑ दददू॒र्मिम॒द्या सुपू॑तं॒ तस्मै॒ सोमं॒ मधु॑मन्तं सुनोत
adhvaryavo'pa itā samudramapāṃ napātaṃ haviṣā yajadhvam sa vo dadadūrmimadyā supūtaṃ tasmai somaṃ madhumantaṃ sunota
The priests, bearing oblations, sent the waters downward into the ocean; they sacrificed with offerings. They gave that fruitful, well-poured Soma to him — may he receive the sweet-honeyed draught.

यो अ॑नि॒ध्मो दीद॑यद॒प्स्व१॒॑न्तर्यं विप्रा॑स॒ ईळ॑ते अध्व॒रेषु॑ । अपां॑ नपा॒न्मधु॑मतीर॒पो दा॒ याभि॒रिन्द्रो॑ वावृ॒धे वी॒र्या॑य
yo anidhmo dīdayadapsva1ntaryaṃ viprāsa īḷate adhvareṣu apāṃ napānmadhumatīrapo dā yābhirindro vāvṛdhe vīryāya
He who brightened the spaces between waters, the priests sing that song among their paths. May Indra grant the rivers with honey-rich streams, for the increase of heroic vigour.

याभिः॒ सोमो॒ मोद॑ते॒ हर्ष॑ते च कल्या॒णीभि॑र्युव॒तिभि॒र्न मर्यः॑ । ता अ॑ध्वर्यो अ॒पो अच्छा॒ परे॑हि॒ यदा॑सि॒ञ्चा ओष॑धीभिः पुनीतात्
yābhiḥ somo modate harṣate ca kalyāṇībhiryuvatibhirna maryaḥ tā adhvaryo apo acchā parehi yadāsiñcā oṣadhībhiḥ punītāt
With which the Soma rejoices, exults and makes auspicious the young and the men of noble acts. Those priests poured the waters forth when you were beyond, with purified herbs.

ए॒वेद्यूने॑ युव॒तयो॑ नमन्त॒ यदी॑मु॒शन्नु॑श॒तीरेत्यच्छ॑ । सं जा॑नते॒ मन॑सा॒ सं चि॑कित्रेऽध्व॒र्यवो॑ धि॒षणाप॑श्च दे॒वीः
evedyūne yuvatayo namanta yadīmuśannuśatīretyaccha saṃ jānate manasā saṃ cikitre'dhvaryavo dhiṣaṇāpaśca devīḥ
Thus the young women greeted the priests if they preserved this ritual. They know together by mind and in wondrous art the priests and the goddesses who bring prosperity.

यो वो॑ वृ॒ताभ्यो॒ अकृ॑णोदु लो॒कं यो वो॑ म॒ह्या अ॒भिश॑स्ते॒रमु॑ञ्चत् । तस्मा॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ मधु॑मन्तमू॒र्मिं दे॑व॒माद॑नं॒ प्र हि॑णोतनापः
yo vo vṛtābhyo akṛṇodu lokaṃ yo vo mahyā abhiśasteramuñcat tasmā indrāya madhumantamūrmiṃ devamādanaṃ pra hiṇotanāpaḥ
He who freed you from bonds and let the world go forth, he who dismissed reproach from us — therefore they called to Indra the sweet Soma, invoking the god and the strong waters.

प्रास्मै॑ हिनोत॒ मधु॑मन्तमू॒र्मिं गर्भो॒ यो वः॑ सिन्धवो॒ मध्व॒ उत्सः॑ । घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठ॒मीड्य॑मध्व॒रेष्वापो॑ रेवतीः शृणु॒ता हवं॑ मे
prāsmai hinota madhumantamūrmiṃ garbho yo vaḥ sindhavo madhva utsaḥ ghṛtapṛṣṭhamīḍyamadhvareṣvāpo revatīḥ śaṛṇutā havaṃ me
To him let them slay the sweet Soma — he is the womb for you, O rivers, a source of honeyed bounty. Hear, ye Revatis, the pressing of offerings on the ghee-smeared altars.

तं सि॑न्धवो मत्स॒रमि॑न्द्र॒पान॑मू॒र्मिं प्र हे॑त॒ य उ॒भे इय॑र्ति । म॒द॒च्युत॑मौशा॒नं न॑भो॒जां परि॑ त्रि॒तन्तुं॑ वि॒चर॑न्त॒मुत्स॑म्
taṃ sindhavo matsaramindrapānamūrmiṃ pra heta ya ubhe iyarti madacyutamauśānaṃ nabhojāṃ pari tritantuṃ vicarantamutsam
O rivers, mark that stirred Soma-draught; Indra, remembering it, struck the vessel — both praised it who drank. May the celestial eaters wander round the sky to consume the offering.

आ॒वर्वृ॑तती॒रध॒ नु द्वि॒धारा॑ गोषु॒युधो॒ न नि॑य॒वं चर॑न्तीः । ऋषे॒ जनि॑त्री॒र्भुव॑नस्य॒ पत्नी॑र॒पो व॑न्दस्व स॒वृधः॒ सयो॑नीः
āvarvṛtatīradha nu dvidhārā goṣuyudho na niyavaṃ carantīḥ ṛṣe janitrīrbhuvanasya patnīrapo vandasva savṛdhaḥ sayonīḥ
They rolled together like two ploughshares, yoked to the cows; the pair of sisters move within the herds. O seers, praise the wives of the world, the equal mothers, the abundant wombs.

हि॒नोता॑ नो अध्व॒रं दे॑वय॒ज्या हि॒नोत॒ ब्रह्म॑ स॒नये॒ धना॑नाम् । ऋ॒तस्य॒ योगे॒ वि ष्य॑ध्व॒मूधः॑ श्रुष्टी॒वरी॑र्भूतना॒स्मभ्य॑मापः
hinotā no adhvaraṃ devayajyā hinota brahma sanaye dhanānām ṛtasya yoge vi ṣyadhvamūdhaḥ śruṣṭīvarīrbhūtanāsmabhyamāpaḥ
Lower for us be the path of the sacrificial priest and lower be the Brahman possessing wealth. Let not ignorance, born of the union of ṛta, overpower our waters and our creative powers.
Rigveda 10.030.12

आपो॑ रेवतीः॒ क्षय॑था॒ हि वस्वः॒ क्रतुं॑ च भ॒द्रं बि॑भृ॒थामृतं॑ च । रा॒यश्च॒ स्थ स्व॑प॒त्यस्य॒ पत्नीः॒ सर॑स्वती॒ तद्गृ॑ण॒ते वयो॑ धात्
āpo revatīḥ kṣayathā hi vasvaḥ kratuṃ ca bhadraṃ bibhṛthāmṛtaṃ ca rāyaśca stha svapatyasya patnīḥ sarasvatī tadgṛṇate vayo dhāt
The waters bring increase; Vivasvat performs the sacred act and bears the auspicious immortal. The wife Sarasvatī, spouse of Svāpati, accepts that praise—O Vayu, grant it.

प्रति॒ यदापो॒ अदृ॑श्रमाय॒तीर्घृ॒तं पयां॑सि॒ बिभ्र॑ती॒र्मधू॑नि । अ॒ध्व॒र्युभि॒र्मन॑सा संविदा॒ना इन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमं॒ सुषु॑तं॒ भर॑न्तीः
prati yadāpo adṛśramāyatīrghṛtaṃ payāṃsi bibhratīrmadhūni adhvaryubhirmanasā saṃvidānā indrāya somaṃ suṣutaṃ bharantīḥ
As the waters come unseen to the home, bearing ghee and milk and sweet nectars, with inward knowledge and thoughts like priests they carry Soma, the flowing libation, to Indra.
Rigveda 10.030.14

एमा अ॑ग्मन्रे॒वती॑र्जी॒वध॑न्या॒ अध्व॑र्यवः सा॒दय॑ता सखायः । नि ब॒र्हिषि॑ धत्तन सोम्यासो॒ऽपां नप्त्रा॑ संविदा॒नास॑ एनाः
emā agmanrevatīrjīvadhanyā adhvaryavaḥ sādayatā sakhāyaḥ ni barhiṣi dhattana somyāso'pāṃ naptrā saṃvidānāsa enāḥ
These go to the fire-bearing, life-giving, wealthy ones; the priestly friends come together. They set Soma upon the sacred grass in the offering; these are the sons who know the waters.

आग्म॒न्नाप॑ उश॒तीर्ब॒र्हिरेदं न्य॑ध्व॒रे अ॑सदन्देव॒यन्तीः॑ । अध्व॑र्यवः सुनु॒तेन्द्रा॑य॒ सोम॒मभू॑दु वः सु॒शका॑ देवय॒ज्या
āgmannāpa uśatīrbarhiredaṃ nyadhvare asadandevayantīḥ adhvaryavaḥ sunutendrāya somamabhūdu vaḥ suśakā devayajyā
They brought the fire and the libations, placing these offerings upon the grass; the priestly men praise Indra—Soma became for you the strong, the divine celebrant.
