यो वो॑ वृ॒ताभ्यो॒ अकृ॑णोदु लो॒कं यो वो॑ म॒ह्या अ॒भिश॑स्ते॒रमु॑ञ्चत् । तस्मा॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ मधु॑मन्तमू॒र्मिं दे॑व॒माद॑नं॒ प्र हि॑णोतनापः
yo vo vṛtābhyo akṛṇodu lokaṃ yo vo mahyā abhiśasteramuñcat tasmā indrāya madhumantamūrmiṃ devamādanaṃ pra hiṇotanāpaḥ
He who freed you from bonds and let the world go forth, he who dismissed reproach from us — therefore they called to Indra the sweet Soma, invoking the god and the strong waters.
Present, waters, the sweet-flavoured god-exhilarating mixture to that Indra who has made an issue foryou when enveloped (by the clouds); who has liberated you from a great calamity.
He who made room for you when fast imprisoned, who freed you from the mighty imprecation,- Even to that Indra send the meath-rich current, the wave that gratifies the Gods, O Waters.
