The seers, possessors of good herds, who gave to the mighty king with pleasant dwelling, who loosened the stars of night—these two launched the radiant rule of heaven and mortal lords.

Do not, O wolves, harm the assembly; let not the worshippers be injured. You indeed were the chariot—of the brave ones—and became a portion of Daksha’s command.

Do not let us partake of another's deed; do not let the Vasus consume that action you observe. For the gods indeed consume decay of the universe; the gods themselves have stretched forth the foe's bane.

te na indraḥ pṛthivī kṣāma vardhanpūṣā bhago aditiḥ pañca janāḥ suśarmāṇaḥ svavasaḥ sunīthā bhavantu naḥ sutrātrāsaḥ sugopāḥ
They are not Indra, Earth, growth, Pūṣan, nor Aditi's five-born; may well-armed, home-protecting, well-ordered guardians be to us—keepers of cord and good wardens.
Rigveda 6.051.12

grāvāṇaḥ soma no hi kaṃ sakhitvanāya vāvaśuḥ jahī nya1triṇaṃ paṇiṃ vṛko hi ṣaḥ
Cattle and Soma are companions to us; who will be our friend in battle? Slay the hostile leader, the robber; the wolf is indeed the devourer of spoils.
