O waters, like immortality for humans, you are the substance for the nourisher’s child. May you be the healing source; may you, mothers, sustain the world, standing as makers and protectors of birth.

And may the wise ones hear the vow: the earth and sea in a single outpouring. All the gods, of established order, were praised; let the mantras be approved and the poets be honored.
Rigveda 6.050.15
Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 6, Sukta 50 · Verse 6.50.15

Thus may the waters of my lord be offered by these wise ones with oblations. The invoked Vasavas, the singers praised everywhere, be present — all worshipped, the assembled sacrificers.
