इन्द्र॒ दृह्य॑ मघव॒न्त्वाव॒दिद्भु॒ज इ॒ह स्तु॒तः सु॑त॒पा बो॑धि नो वृ॒धे । दे॒वेभि॑र्नः सवि॒ता प्राव॑तु श्रु॒तमा स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
indra dṛhya maghavantvāvadidbhuja iha stutaḥ sutapā bodhi no vṛdhe devebhirnaḥ savitā prāvatu śrutamā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
Indra, grant greatness and riches; with the arm of praise here bind and awaken us, O generous sage. May the Savitar among the gods come forward to us; we choose the all-embracing, lofty light of Aditi.

भरा॑य॒ सु भ॑रत भा॒गमृ॒त्वियं॒ प्र वा॒यवे॑ शुचि॒पे क्र॒न्ददि॑ष्टये । गौ॒रस्य॒ यः पय॑सः पी॒तिमा॑न॒श आ स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
bharāya su bharata bhāgamṛtviyaṃ pra vāyave śucipe krandadiṣṭaye gaurasya yaḥ payasaḥ pītimānaśa ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
Sustain, O Bhāratīya, the allotted portion; let the breezes and bright ones purify for the ritual. May the milky one of the fair herd pour forth; we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.

आ नो॑ दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता सा॑विष॒द्वय॑ ऋजूय॒ते यज॑मानाय सुन्व॒ते । यथा॑ दे॒वान्प्र॑ति॒भूषे॑म पाक॒वदा स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
ā no devaḥ savitā sāviṣadvaya ṛjūyate yajamānāya sunvate yathā devānpratibhūṣema pākavadā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
May the god Savitar, auspicious and invigorating, brighten the twofold chant, making straight the course for the sacrificer who is devout. As the gods were clothed with splendour, may we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.

indro asme sumanā astu viśvahā rājā somaḥ suvitasyādhyetu naḥ yathāyathā mitradhitāni saṃdadhurā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
May Indra be for us of good mind, the wide-ruling king, the Soma who comes with beneficence. As Mitra binds allied things together, so may we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.

इन्द्र॑ उ॒क्थेन॒ शव॑सा॒ परु॑र्दधे॒ बृह॑स्पते प्रतरी॒तास्यायु॑षः । य॒ज्ञो मनुः॒ प्रम॑तिर्नः पि॒ता हि क॒मा स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
indra ukthena śavasā parurdadhe bṛhaspate pratarītāsyāyuṣaḥ yajño manuḥ pramatirnaḥ pitā hi kamā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
Indra, by hymn and oblation you have upheld the ritual and increased the life of Brihaspati’s beloved; sacrifice is the mind, our father is desire—may we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.

इन्द्र॑स्य॒ नु सुकृ॑तं॒ दैव्यं॒ सहो॒ऽग्निर्गृ॒हे ज॑रि॒ता मेधि॑रः क॒विः । य॒ज्ञश्च॑ भूद्वि॒दथे॒ चारु॒रन्त॑म॒ आ स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
indrasya nu sukṛtaṃ daivyaṃ saho'gnirgṛhe jaritā medhiraḥ kaviḥ yajñaśca bhūdvidathe cārurantama ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
Indra’s well-deed and the divine, together with Agni in the house, the desirer of wisdom, the seer-poet: and may the sacrificial rite, made beautiful, bring forth—the all-embracing light of Aditi we choose.

न वो॒ गुहा॑ चकृम॒ भूरि॑ दुष्कृ॒तं नाविष्ट्यं॑ वसवो देव॒हेळ॑नम् । माकि॑र्नो देवा॒ अनृ॑तस्य॒ वर्प॑स॒ आ स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
na vo guhā cakṛma bhūri duṣkṛtaṃ nāviṣṭyaṃ vasavo devaheḷanam mākirno devā anṛtasya varpasa ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
Do not make for us deep caves, O Vasus, nor let excessive wickedness overwhelm us; may the gods not bring untruth by libation—therefore we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.

अपामी॑वां सवि॒ता सा॑विष॒न्न्य१॒॑ग्वरी॑य॒ इदप॑ सेध॒न्त्वद्र॑यः । ग्रावा॒ यत्र॑ मधु॒षुदु॒च्यते॑ बृ॒हदा स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
apāmīvāṃ savitā sāviṣannya1gvarīya idapa sedhantvadrayaḥ grāvā yatra madhuṣuducyate bṛhadā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
May Savitar, like one who pours the streams, invigorate us with the twofold prayer and the clarified oblation; where the herd’s sweet drink is praised mightily, may we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.

ऊ॒र्ध्वो ग्रावा॑ वसवोऽस्तु सो॒तरि॒ विश्वा॒ द्वेषां॑सि सनु॒तर्यु॑योत । स नो॑ दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता पा॒युरीड्य॒ आ स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
ūrdhvo grāvā vasavo'stu sotari viśvā dveṣāṃsi sanutaryuyota sa no devaḥ savitā pāyurīḍya ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
May the Vasus be exalted above, may they be bearers of the prosperous hymn; may the god Savitar, protector of chariots, bestow on us the all-embracing light of Aditi.

ऊर्जं॑ गावो॒ यव॑से॒ पीवो॑ अत्तन ऋ॒तस्य॒ याः सद॑ने॒ कोशे॑ अ॒ङ्ग्ध्वे । त॒नूरे॒व त॒न्वो॑ अस्तु भेष॒जमा स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
ūrjaṃ gāvo yavase pīvo attana ṛtasya yāḥ sadane kośe aṅgdhve tanūreva tanvo astu bheṣajamā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
Cows give vigor, and barley the strength; may they drink the nectar of the ritual law within the chamber. May the body be a healing medicine—thus we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.

क्र॒तु॒प्रावा॑ जरि॒ता शश्व॑ता॒मव॒ इन्द्र॒ इद्भ॒द्रा प्रम॑तिः सु॒ताव॑ताम् । पू॒र्णमूध॑र्दि॒व्यं यस्य॑ सि॒क्तय॒ आ स॒र्वता॑ति॒मदि॑तिं वृणीमहे
kratuprāvā jaritā śaśvatāmava indra idbhadrā pramatiḥ sutāvatām pūrṇamūdhardivyaṃ yasya siktaya ā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
The sacrificer, ancient and enduring, like the eternal moon, O Indra, is this auspicious wisdom of the thoughtful, full of offspring. We call forth that divine, abundant intellect whose streams flow over all and who chose the radiant dawn.

चि॒त्रस्ते॑ भा॒नुः क्र॑तु॒प्रा अ॑भि॒ष्टिः सन्ति॒ स्पृधो॑ जरणि॒प्रा अधृ॑ष्टाः । रजि॑ष्ठया॒ रज्या॑ प॒श्व आ गोस्तूतू॑र्षति॒ पर्यग्रं॑ दुव॒स्युः
citraste bhānuḥ kratuprā abhiṣṭiḥ santi spṛdho jaraṇiprā adhṛṣṭāḥ rajiṣṭhayā rajyā paśva ā gostūtūrṣati paryagraṃ duvasyuḥ
Your splendid radiant one, O sacrificer, desired, are the rivals; they are those who long for perishable glory. With the most shining fecundity the cattle and cows low, the hostile one goes about attacking the herd.
