Indra, by hymn and oblation you have upheld the ritual and increased the life of Brihaspati’s beloved; sacrifice is the mind, our father is desire—may we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.
By his laudable strength Indra supports my limb; you, Bṛhaspati, are the prolonger of my life. May thesacrifice, the sage Manu, (being) our protector, (grant) us happiness. We long for the universal Aditi.
Indra hath given the body with its song and strength: Brhaspati, thou art the lengthener of life. The sacrifice is Manu, Providence, our Sire. We ask for freedom and complete felicity.
