indro asme sumanā astu viśvahā rājā somaḥ suvitasyādhyetu naḥ yathāyathā mitradhitāni saṃdadhurā sarvatātimaditiṃ vṛṇīmahe
May Indra be for us of good mind, the wide-ruling king, the Soma who comes with beneficence. As Mitra binds allied things together, so may we choose the all-embracing light of Aditi.
May Indra be favourably disposed towards us every day, may the royal Soma accept our praise, sothat they may bestow upon us friendly treasures; we long for the universal Aditi.
May Indra evermore be gracious unto us, and may King Soma meditate our happiness, Even as men secure the comfort of a friend. We ask for freedom and complete felicity.
