इन्द्रा॑वरुणा यु॒वम॑ध्व॒राय॑ नो वि॒शे जना॑य॒ महि॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतम् । दी॒र्घप्र॑यज्यु॒मति॒ यो व॑नु॒ष्यति॑ व॒यं ज॑येम॒ पृत॑नासु दू॒ढ्यः॑
indrāvaruṇā yuvamadhvarāya no viśe janāya mahi śarma yacchatam dīrghaprayajyumati yo vanuṣyati vayaṃ jayema pṛtanāsu dūḍhyaḥ
Indra and Varuṇa, you who are guardians, grant us public fame and great shelter; may he who performs long sacrifices prosper—may we conquer in assemblies, milked with strength.

स॒म्राळ॒न्यः स्व॒राळ॒न्य उ॑च्यते वां म॒हान्ता॒विन्द्रा॒वरु॑णा म॒हाव॑सू । विश्वे॑ दे॒वासः॑ पर॒मे व्यो॑मनि॒ सं वा॒मोजो॑ वृषणा॒ सं बलं॑ दधुः
samrāḷanyaḥ svarāḷanya ucyate vāṃ mahāntāvindrāvaruṇā mahāvasū viśve devāsaḥ parame vyomani saṃ vāmojo vṛṣaṇā saṃ balaṃ dadhuḥ
Called the noble, called the sovereign, Indra and Varuṇa are great treasures. All gods in the supreme heaven granted strength and vital vigor like steeds.

अन्व॒पां खान्य॑तृन्त॒मोज॒सा सूर्य॑मैरयतं दि॒वि प्र॒भुम् । इन्द्रा॑वरुणा॒ मदे॑ अस्य मा॒यिनोऽपि॑न्वतम॒पितः॒ पिन्व॑तं॒ धियः॑
anvapāṃ khānyatṛntamojasā sūryamairayataṃ divi prabhum indrāvaruṇā made asya māyino'pinvatamapitaḥ pinvataṃ dhiyaḥ
Stretching forth your might you upheld the sun as lord of the sky. Indra and Varuṇa, grant us glory; even the enchanters bowed to your powers and directed our intellects.

यु॒वामिद्यु॒त्सु पृत॑नासु॒ वह्न॑यो यु॒वां क्षेम॑स्य प्रस॒वे मि॒तज्ञ॑वः । ई॒शा॒ना वस्व॑ उ॒भय॑स्य का॒रव॒ इन्द्रा॑वरुणा सु॒हवा॑ हवामहे
yuvāmidyutsu pṛtanāsu vahnayo yuvāṃ kṣemasya prasave mitajñavaḥ īśānā vasva ubhayasya kārava indrāvaruṇā suhavā havāmahe
You two carry shining powers in assemblies; ye wise ones deliver prosperity. We invoke the dual rulers, Indra and Varuṇa, allied to strength with sacrifices.

इन्द्रा॑वरुणा॒ यदि॒मानि॑ च॒क्रथु॒र्विश्वा॑ जा॒तानि॒ भुव॑नस्य म॒ज्मना॑ । क्षेमे॑ण मि॒त्रो वरु॑णं दुव॒स्यति॑ म॒रुद्भि॑रु॒ग्रः शुभ॑म॒न्य ई॑यते
indrāvaruṇā yadimāni cakrathurviśvā jātāni bhuvanasya majmanā kṣemeṇa mitro varuṇaṃ duvasyati marudbhirugraḥ śubhamanya īyate
If Indra and Varuṇa circled all born things of the world with their mighty rope, Mithra would strengthen Varuṇa for welfare; the maruts, fierce, would grant auspiciousness.

म॒हे शु॒ल्काय॒ वरु॑णस्य॒ नु त्वि॒ष ओजो॑ मिमाते ध्रु॒वम॑स्य॒ यत्स्वम् । अजा॑मिम॒न्यः श्न॒थय॑न्त॒माति॑रद्द॒भ्रेभि॑र॒न्यः प्र वृ॑णोति॒ भूय॑सः
mahe śulkāya varuṇasya nu tviṣa ojo mimāte dhruvamasya yatsvam ajāmimanyaḥ śnathayantamātiraddabhrebhiranyaḥ pra vṛṇoti bhūyasaḥ
Great is Varuṇa's tribute; do not let poison seize your vigor. The goats howl, others break forth from clouds and choose abundance again.

न तमंहो॒ न दु॑रि॒तानि॒ मर्त्य॒मिन्द्रा॑वरुणा॒ न तपः॒ कुत॑श्च॒न । यस्य॑ देवा॒ गच्छ॑थो वी॒थो अ॑ध्व॒रं न तं मर्त॑स्य नशते॒ परि॑ह्वृतिः
na tamaṃho na duritāni martyamindrāvaruṇā na tapaḥ kutaścana yasya devā gacchatho vītho adhvaraṃ na taṃ martasya naśate parihvṛtiḥ
Indra and Varuṇa are not of doom nor of evil deeds; no asceticism anywhere harms them. Where the gods go, the path is not destroyed; mortal ruin does not surround him.

अ॒र्वाङ्न॑रा॒ दैव्ये॒नाव॒सा ग॑तं शृणु॒तं हवं॒ यदि॑ मे॒ जुजो॑षथः । यु॒वोर्हि स॒ख्यमु॒त वा॒ यदाप्यं॑ मार्डी॒कमि॑न्द्रावरुणा॒ नि य॑च्छतम्
arvāṅnarā daivyenāvasā gataṃ śaṛṇutaṃ havaṃ yadi me jujoṣathaḥ yuvorhi sakhyamuta vā yadāpyaṃ mārḍīkamindrāvaruṇā ni yacchatam
If you, divine ones, accept my worship and offerings, hear the prayer I have set forth. Grant us friendship or whatever benign gift Indra-Varuṇa bestow.

अ॒स्माक॑मिन्द्रावरुणा॒ भरे॑भरे पुरोयो॒धा भ॑वतं कृष्ट्योजसा । यद्वां॒ हव॑न्त उ॒भये॒ अध॑ स्पृ॒धि नर॑स्तो॒कस्य॒ तन॑यस्य सा॒तिषु॑
asmākamindrāvaruṇā bharebhare puroyodhā bhavataṃ kṛṣṭyojasā yadvāṃ havanta ubhaye adha spṛdhi narastokasya tanayasya sātiṣu
Indra and Varuṇa are our full leaders, powerful chiefs, they have become wardens by mighty energy. Whatever offerings you two accept, grant them to us—sons of men yearning for offspring.

अ॒स्मे इन्द्रो॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा द्यु॒म्नं य॑च्छन्तु॒ महि॒ शर्म॑ स॒प्रथः॑ । अ॒व॒ध्रं ज्योति॒रदि॑तेरृता॒वृधो॑ दे॒वस्य॒ श्लोकं॑ सवि॒तुर्म॑नामहे
asme indro varuṇo mitro aryamā dyumnaṃ yacchantu mahi śarma saprathaḥ avadhraṃ jyotiraditerṛtāvṛdho devasya ślokaṃ saviturmanāmahe
May Indra, Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman grant the bright sky and great shelter first. We recall the luminous law of the god, Savitṛ, the order of truth spreading as the light of dawn.
