इन्द्रा॑वरुणा यु॒वम॑ध्व॒राय॑ नो वि॒शे जना॑य॒ महि॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतम् । दी॒र्घप्र॑यज्यु॒मति॒ यो व॑नु॒ष्यति॑ व॒यं ज॑येम॒ पृत॑नासु दू॒ढ्यः॑
indrāvaruṇā yuvamadhvarāya no viśe janāya mahi śarma yacchatam dīrghaprayajyumati yo vanuṣyati vayaṃ jayema pṛtanāsu dūḍhyaḥ
Indra and Varuṇa, you who are guardians, grant us public fame and great shelter; may he who performs long sacrifices prosper—may we conquer in assemblies, milked with strength.
Indra and Varuṇa, bestow upon this man, our employer, a spacious chamber for (the celebration of) thesacrifice; and may we subdue in conflicts such evil-minded person ns as may seek to injure him who has been longengaged (in your adoration).
GRANT us your strong protection, IndraVaruna, our people, and our family, for sacrifice. May we subdue in fight our evil-hearted foes, him who attacks the man steadfast in lengthened rites.
