प्र वो॒ वाजा॑ अ॒भिद्य॑वो ह॒विष्म॑न्तो घृ॒ताच्या॑ । दे॒वाञ्जि॑गाति सुम्न॒युः
pra vo vājā abhidyavo haviṣmanto ghṛtācyā devāñjigāti sumnayuḥ
Bring the oblation, O sacrificers, the ghee-offerings with praise; the gods rejoice, the well-composed ones exult.

ईळे॑ अ॒ग्निं वि॑प॒श्चितं॑ गि॒रा य॒ज्ञस्य॒ साध॑नम् । श्रु॒ष्टी॒वानं॑ धि॒तावा॑नम्
īḷe agniṃ vipaścitaṃ girā yajñasya sādhanam śruṣṭīvānaṃ dhitāvānam
You have set forth Agni, O wise ones, the voice that is the means of sacrifice; you have heard, cultivated and devised (it).

अग्ने॑ श॒केम॑ ते व॒यं यमं॑ दे॒वस्य॑ वा॒जिनः॑ । अति॒ द्वेषां॑सि तरेम
agne śakema te vayaṃ yamaṃ devasya vājinaḥ ati dveṣāṃsi tarema
Agni, we are your followers, the possessors of the prize of the god; I cross over foes, I dispel hatred.

स॒मि॒ध्यमा॑नो अध्व॒रे॒३॒॑ऽग्निः पा॑व॒क ईड्यः॑ । शो॒चिष्के॑श॒स्तमी॑महे
samidhyamāno adhvare3'gniḥ pāvaka īḍyaḥ śociṣkeśastamīmahe
Smoldering on the path, Agni, the purifier, the purifier of offerings, O purifier, we invoke you. We wash away sorrow, we dispel darkness.

पृ॒थु॒पाजा॒ अम॑र्त्यो घृ॒तनि॑र्णि॒क्स्वा॑हुतः । अ॒ग्निर्य॒ज्ञस्य॑ हव्य॒वाट्
pṛthupājā amartyo ghṛtanirṇiksvāhutaḥ agniryajñasya havyavāṭ
Broad-rising offering, immortally born, the ghee thoroughly kindled; Agni is the ladle of the sacrifice.

तं स॒बाधो॑ य॒तस्रु॑च इ॒त्था धि॒या य॒ज्ञव॑न्तः । आ च॑क्रुर॒ग्निमू॒तये॑
taṃ sabādho yatasruca itthā dhiyā yajñavantaḥ ā cakruragnimūtaye
He who is well-struck, the bright-voiced, that famed one — thus with intelligence the sacrificers bound him. They invoked Agni for the giver.

होता॑ दे॒वो अम॑र्त्यः पु॒रस्ता॑देति मा॒यया॑ । वि॒दथा॑नि प्रचो॒दय॑न्
hotā devo amartyaḥ purastādeti māyayā vidathāni pracodayan
The priest, the god-like immortal, stands before; by Maya he brought forth. He urged the ritual laws onward.

वा॒जी वाजे॑षु धीयतेऽध्व॒रेषु॒ प्र णी॑यते । विप्रो॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॒ साध॑नः
vājī vājeṣu dhīyate'dhvareṣu pra ṇīyate vipro yajñasya sādhanaḥ
The winner is upheld in victories, cherished on the paths; the priest is the accomplisher of the sacrifice.

धि॒या च॑क्रे॒ वरे॑ण्यो भू॒तानां॒ गर्भ॒मा द॑धे । दक्ष॑स्य पि॒तरं॒ तना॑
dhiyā cakre vareṇyo bhūtānāṃ garbhamā dadhe dakṣasya pitaraṃ tanā
He fashioned the best thought, gave birth to beings, and placed a womb for them. He arranged the father of Daksha.

नि त्वा॑ दधे॒ वरे॑ण्यं॒ दक्ष॑स्ये॒ळा स॑हस्कृत । अग्ने॑ सुदी॒तिमु॒शिज॑म्
ni tvā dadhe vareṇyaṃ dakṣasyeḷā sahaskṛta agne sudītimuśijam
He placed for you the noble store, the appointed share of Daksha, together made; Agni, shining, inflamed the oblation.

अ॒ग्निं य॒न्तुर॑म॒प्तुर॑मृ॒तस्य॒ योगे॑ व॒नुषः॑ । विप्रा॒ वाजैः॒ समि॑न्धते
agniṃ yanturamapturamṛtasya yoge vanuṣaḥ viprā vājaiḥ samindhate
Let the men go to Agni, the bearer joined to immortal union; the wise kindle him with the praises of the oblations.

ऊ॒र्जो नपा॑तमध्व॒रे दी॑दि॒वांस॒मुप॒ द्यवि॑ । अ॒ग्निमी॑ळे क॒विक्र॑तुम्
ūrjo napātamadhvare dīdivāṃsamupa dyavi agnimīḷe kavikratum
Mighty force, falling on the paths, mounting to the heavens by day — I kindle Agni to make creation sing.

ई॒ळेन्यो॑ नम॒स्य॑स्ति॒रस्तमां॑सि दर्श॒तः । सम॒ग्निरि॑ध्यते॒ वृषा॑
īḷenyo namasyastirastamāṃsi darśataḥ samagniridhyate vṛṣā
With praise the worshipper salutes Agni, the long-lived, standing beside the offering; the bull is propitiated and rejoices.

वृषो॑ अ॒ग्निः समि॑ध्य॒तेऽश्वो॒ न दे॑व॒वाह॑नः । तं ह॒विष्म॑न्त ईळते
vṛṣo agniḥ samidhyate'śvo na devavāhanaḥ taṃ haviṣmanta īḷate
The bull Agni is propitiated, the horse is not the carrier of the god. The sacrificers praise that one with offerings.

वृष॑णं त्वा व॒यं वृ॑ष॒न्वृष॑णः॒ समि॑धीमहि । अग्ने॒ दीद्य॑तं बृ॒हत्
vṛṣaṇaṃ tvā vayaṃ vṛṣanvṛṣaṇaḥ samidhīmahi agne dīdyataṃ bṛhat
We worship thee as bull among bulls, Agni; may the great shining one be propitious to us.
