उ॒षासा॒नक्ता॑ बृह॒ती सु॒पेश॑सा॒ द्यावा॒क्षामा॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा । इन्द्रं॑ हुवे म॒रुतः॒ पर्व॑ताँ अ॒प आ॑दि॒त्यान्द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी अ॒पः स्वः॑
uṣāsānaktā bṛhatī supeśasā dyāvākṣāmā varuṇo mitro aryamā indraṃ huve marutaḥ parvatām̐ apa ādityāndyāvāpṛthivī apaḥ svaḥ
O Dawn, bright and wide-eyed, with splendid splendour; O Heaven and Earth, Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman — we invoke Indra, the Maruts, mountains, the waters, the Aditiyas, heaven, earth, waters and the realm above.

द्यौश्च॑ नः पृथि॒वी च॒ प्रचे॑तस ऋ॒ताव॑री रक्षता॒मंह॑सो रि॒षः । मा दु॑र्वि॒दत्रा॒ निरृ॑तिर्न ईशत॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
dyauśca naḥ pṛthivī ca pracetasa ṛtāvarī rakṣatāmaṃhaso riṣaḥ mā durvidatrā nirṛtirna īśata taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
May Heaven and Earth and the bright-minded keep the laws and protect the spoken order; may not Durṛti (falsehood) come upon us; today may we choose the course of the gods' strength.

विश्व॑स्मान्नो॒ अदि॑तिः पा॒त्वंह॑सो मा॒ता मि॒त्रस्य॒ वरु॑णस्य रे॒वतः॑ । स्व॑र्व॒ज्ज्योति॑रवृ॒कं न॑शीमहि॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
viśvasmānno aditiḥ pātvaṃhaso mātā mitrasya varuṇasya revataḥ svarvajjyotiravṛkaṃ naśīmahi taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
May Aditi, mother of all, protect us; may she be mother to Mitra and Varuṇa, and their offspring. May the radiant light, the wolf of light, not destroy us; today may we choose the gods' strength.

ग्रावा॒ वद॒न्नप॒ रक्षां॑सि सेधतु दु॒ष्ष्वप्न्यं॒ निरृ॑तिं॒ विश्व॑म॒त्रिण॑म् । आ॒दि॒त्यं शर्म॑ म॒रुता॑मशीमहि॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
grāvā vadannapa rakṣāṃsi sedhatu duṣṣvapnyaṃ nirṛtiṃ viśvamatriṇam ādityaṃ śarma marutāmaśīmahi taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
Drive away the herds' talk of harm; repel bad dreams and falsehood that pervades the world. May we spread the splendour of the Aditi (Aditya), may we be clothed in the glory of the Maruts; today may we choose the gods' strength.

एन्द्रो॑ ब॒र्हिः सीद॑तु॒ पिन्व॑ता॒मिळा॒ बृह॒स्पतिः॒ साम॑भिरृ॒क्वो अ॑र्चतु । सु॒प्र॒के॒तं जी॒वसे॒ मन्म॑ धीमहि॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
endro barhiḥ sīdatu pinvatāmiḷā bṛhaspatiḥ sāmabhirṛkvo arcatu supraketaṃ jīvase manma dhīmahi taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
May Indra, the strong, sit on the stern; may Brahmanaspati (Brihaspati) enthrone the offering with the Sama hymns. May I live in auspicious dwelling, may my mind be spirited — today may we choose the gods' strength.

दि॒वि॒स्पृशं॑ य॒ज्ञम॒स्माक॑मश्विना जी॒राध्व॑रं कृणुतं सु॒म्नमि॒ष्टये॑ । प्रा॒चीन॑रश्मि॒माहु॑तं घृ॒तेन॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
divispṛśaṃ yajñamasmākamaśvinā jīrādhvaraṃ kṛṇutaṃ sumnamiṣṭaye prācīnaraśmimāhutaṃ ghṛtena taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
O Ashvins, touch our heavenly ritual; make the chariot's axle, the desired good, and bring the ancient ray kindled in ghee for our wishes — today may we choose the gods' strength.

उप॑ ह्वये सु॒हवं॒ मारु॑तं ग॒णं पा॑व॒कमृ॒ष्वं स॒ख्याय॑ श॒म्भुव॑म् । रा॒यस्पोषं॑ सौश्रव॒साय॑ धीमहि॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
upa hvaye suhavaṃ mārutaṃ gaṇaṃ pāvakamṛṣvaṃ sakhyāya śambhuvam rāyaspoṣaṃ sauśravasāya dhīmahi taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
I call the kindly Marut host, the purifying, truth-engendering band. May they, favoring the realm, bring prosperity and fame; today may we choose the gods' strength.

apāṃ peruṃ jīvadhanyaṃ bharāmahe devāvyaṃ suhavamadhvaraśriyam suraśmiṃ somamindriyaṃ yamīmahi taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
We bear the abundant waters, the living grain, the divine household, the friendly shelter and the shining wealth; may Soma, Indra's power, grant us life and light — today may we choose the gods' strength.

स॒नेम॒ तत्सु॑स॒निता॑ स॒नित्व॑भिर्व॒यं जी॒वा जी॒वपु॑त्रा॒ अना॑गसः । ब्र॒ह्म॒द्विषो॒ विष्व॒गेनो॑ भरेरत॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
sanema tatsusanitā sanitvabhirvayaṃ jīvā jīvaputrā anāgasaḥ brahmadviṣo viṣvageno bharerata taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
We, born of those well-born, with progeny ever-living, the uninjured; may Brahmanaspati, O lord of all, fill the universe. Today may we choose the gods' strength.

ये स्था मनो॑र्य॒ज्ञिया॒स्ते शृ॑णोतन॒ यद्वो॑ देवा॒ ईम॑हे॒ तद्द॑दातन । जैत्रं॒ क्रतुं॑ रयि॒मद्वी॒रव॒द्यश॒स्तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
ye sthā manoryajñiyāste śaṛṇotana yadvo devā īmahe taddadātana jaitraṃ kratuṃ rayimadvīravadyaśastaddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
Those whose minds are sacrificial, who hear the hymns of the gods, grant what we invoke. They bestow victorious rites, wealth and praise — today may we choose the gods' strength.

म॒हद॒द्य म॑ह॒तामा वृ॑णीम॒हेऽवो॑ दे॒वानां॑ बृह॒ताम॑न॒र्वणा॑म् । यथा॒ वसु॑ वी॒रजा॑तं॒ नशा॑महै॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
mahadadya mahatāmā vṛṇīmahe'vo devānāṃ bṛhatāmanarvaṇām yathā vasu vīrajātaṃ naśāmahai taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
We choose greatness, the great ones of the gods, the vast treasures of the singers. As the wealth of the Vasus and the bold born is born, so may it be for us — today may we choose the gods' strength.

म॒हो अ॒ग्नेः स॑मिधा॒नस्य॒ शर्म॒ण्यना॑गा मि॒त्रे वरु॑णे स्व॒स्तये॑ । श्रेष्ठे॑ स्याम सवि॒तुः सवी॑मनि॒ तद्दे॒वाना॒मवो॑ अ॒द्या वृ॑णीमहे
maho agneḥ samidhānasya śarmaṇyanāgā mitre varuṇe svastaye śreṣṭhe syāma savituḥ savīmani taddevānāmavo adyā vṛṇīmahe
Great is the offering of Agni's fuel; favor of Mitra and Varuṇa and welfare. May we be excellent for Savitṛ's blessing; today may we choose the gods' strength.

ये स॑वि॒तुः स॒त्यस॑वस्य॒ विश्वे॑ मि॒त्रस्य॑ व्र॒ते वरु॑णस्य दे॒वाः । ते सौभ॑गं वी॒रव॒द्गोम॒दप्नो॒ दधा॑तन॒ द्रवि॑णं चि॒त्रम॒स्मे
ye savituḥ satyasavasya viśve mitrasya vrate varuṇasya devāḥ te saubhagaṃ vīravadgomadapno dadhātana draviṇaṃ citramasme
Those who are of Savitṛ, true to his ordinance, all the rites of Mitra and Varuṇa — the gods gave them station. They bestowed good fortune, heroic gifts, and abundant wealth upon us.

स॒वि॒ता प॒श्चाता॑त्सवि॒ता पु॒रस्ता॑त्सवि॒तोत्त॒रात्ता॑त्सवि॒ताध॒रात्ता॑त् । स॒वि॒ता नः॑ सुवतु स॒र्वता॑तिं सवि॒ता नो॑ रासतां दी॒र्घमायुः॑
savitā paścātātsavitā purastātsavitottarāttātsavitādharāttāt savitā naḥ suvatu sarvatātiṃ savitā no rāsatāṃ dīrghamāyuḥ
Savitṛ is behind, Savitṛ is before, Savitṛ above, Savitṛ below; may Savitṛ grant us welfare in every direction and long life.
