I call the kindly Marut host, the purifying, truth-engendering band. May they, favoring the realm, bring prosperity and fame; today may we choose the gods' strength.
I invoke for their friendship, the deservedly invoked, purifying, beautiful troops of the Maruts, the giversof felicity, the dispensers of riches; we meditate upon them for the attainemtn of abundant food; we solicit todaythis protection of the gods.
Hither I call the band of Maruts, swift to hear, great, purifying, bringing bliss, to he our Friends. May we increase our wealth to glorify our name. We crave this graciousfavour of the Gods to-day.
