May Indra, the strong, sit on the stern; may Brahmanaspati (Brihaspati) enthrone the offering with the Sama hymns. May I live in auspicious dwelling, may my mind be spirited — today may we choose the gods' strength.
May Indra sit down upon the sacred grass; may Iḷā be propitious; may Bṛhaspati the singer hymnedwith Sāmans honour us; we offer an intelligent prayer for life; we solcit today this protection of the gods.
Full flow libations; on our grass let Indra sit; Brhaspati the singer laud with Sama hymns! Wise be our hearts' imaginings that we may live. We crave this gracious favour of the Gods to-day.
