We, born of those well-born, with progeny ever-living, the uninjured; may Brahmanaspati, O lord of all, fill the universe. Today may we choose the gods' strength.
Living with living offspring, and free from fault, let us make offerings (to the gods), sharing with thosewho share with us; may those who hate the brāhmaṇas, carry off our iniquity in different directions; we solicittoday this protection of the gods.
Alive ourselves, with living sons, devoid of guilt, may we win this with winners by fair means to win. Let the prayer-haters bear our sin to every side. We crave this gracious favour of the Gods to-day.
