May Heaven and Earth and the bright-minded keep the laws and protect the spoken order; may not Durṛti (falsehood) come upon us; today may we choose the course of the gods' strength.
May the intelligent and truthful heaven and earth defend us from sin, and from malignant; let not themalevolent Nirṛti have power over us; we solicit today this protection of the gods.
May Dyaus and Prthivi, wise, true to Holy Law, keep us in safety from distress and injury. Let not malignant Nirrti rule over us. We crave to-day this gracious favour of the Gods.
