अ॒ग्निम॑स्तोष्यृ॒ग्मिय॑म॒ग्निमी॒ळा य॒जध्यै॑ । अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वाँ अ॑नक्तु न उ॒भे हि वि॒दथे॑ क॒विर॒न्तश्चर॑ति दू॒त्यं१॒॑ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
agnimastoṣyṛgmiyamagnimīḷā yajadhyai agnirdevām̐ anaktu na ubhe hi vidathe kavirantaścarati dūtyaṃ1 nabhantāmanyake same
I laud Agni, the radiant singer; Agni, come to our worship. Agni declares the gods and walks among poets, sending news to many heavens alike.

न्य॑ग्ने॒ नव्य॑सा॒ वच॑स्त॒नूषु॒ शंस॑मेषाम् । न्यरा॑ती॒ ररा॑व्णां॒ विश्वा॑ अ॒र्यो अरा॑तीरि॒तो यु॑च्छन्त्वा॒मुरो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
nyagne navyasā vacastanūṣu śaṃsameṣām nyarātī rarāvṇāṃ viśvā aryo arātīrito yucchantvāmuro nabhantāmanyake same
O Agni, with fresh words praise their bodies; the bringer of prosperity drives away adversity, all nobly repelling unrighteousness to many heavens alike.

अग्ने॒ मन्मा॑नि॒ तुभ्यं॒ कं घृ॒तं न जु॑ह्व आ॒सनि॑ । स दे॒वेषु॒ प्र चि॑किद्धि॒ त्वं ह्यसि॑ पू॒र्व्यः शि॒वो दू॒तो वि॒वस्व॑तो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
agne manmāni tubhyaṃ kaṃ ghṛtaṃ na juhva āsani sa deveṣu pra cikiddhi tvaṃ hyasi pūrvyaḥ śivo dūto vivasvato nabhantāmanyake same
Agni, accept this ghee I offer; you sit at the oblation. You, famed among gods, are the ancient benign messenger of Vivasvat, sending riches to many heavens alike.

तत्त॑द॒ग्निर्वयो॑ दधे॒ यथा॑यथा कृप॒ण्यति॑ । ऊ॒र्जाहु॑ति॒र्वसू॑नां॒ शं च॒ योश्च॒ मयो॑ दधे॒ विश्व॑स्यै दे॒वहू॑त्यै॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
tattadagnirvayo dadhe yathāyathā kṛpaṇyati ūrjāhutirvasūnāṃ śaṃ ca yośca mayo dadhe viśvasyai devahūtyai nabhantāmanyake same
Thus Agni consumes for us as he kindly wills. He is the vigorous oblation for the wealth-givers, and he grants the sacrificial share to all the world’s gods alike.

स चि॑केत॒ सही॑यसा॒ग्निश्चि॒त्रेण॒ कर्म॑णा । स होता॒ शश्व॑तीनां॒ दक्षि॑णाभिर॒भीवृ॑त इ॒नोति॑ च प्रती॒व्यं१॒॑ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
sa ciketa sahīyasāgniścitreṇa karmaṇā sa hotā śaśvatīnāṃ dakṣiṇābhirabhīvṛta inoti ca pratīvyaṃ1 nabhantāmanyake same
He performs rites with skill and splendid acts. He, the eternal priest, prospers the south and sends bounty to the realm and earth, to many heavens alike.

अ॒ग्निर्जा॒ता दे॒वाना॑म॒ग्निर्वे॑द॒ मर्ता॑नामपी॒च्य॑म् । अ॒ग्निः स द्र॑विणो॒दा अ॒ग्निर्द्वारा॒ व्यू॑र्णुते॒ स्वा॑हुतो॒ नवी॑यसा॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
agnirjātā devānāmagnirveda martānāmapīcyam agniḥ sa draviṇodā agnirdvārā vyūrṇute svāhuto navīyasā nabhantāmanyake same
Agni was born for the gods; Agni knows mortals and living beings. Agni is the granter of wealth, the cleaver of channels; newly invoked, he fills the oblation — to many heavens alike.

अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वेषु॒ संव॑सुः॒ स वि॒क्षु य॒ज्ञिया॒स्वा । स मु॒दा काव्या॑ पु॒रु विश्वं॒ भूमे॑व पुष्यति दे॒वो दे॒वेषु॑ य॒ज्ञियो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
agnirdeveṣu saṃvasuḥ sa vikṣu yajñiyāsvā sa mudā kāvyā puru viśvaṃ bhūmeva puṣyati devo deveṣu yajñiyo nabhantāmanyake same
Agni dwells among the gods; he beholds the ritualists’ acts. He, joyful and inspired, nourishes all people and the earth with sacred songs, among the gods and ritualists to many heavens alike.

यो अ॒ग्निः स॒प्तमा॑नुषः श्रि॒तो विश्वे॑षु॒ सिन्धु॑षु । तमाग॑न्म त्रिप॒स्त्यं म॑न्धा॒तुर्द॑स्यु॒हन्त॑मम॒ग्निं य॒ज्ञेषु॑ पू॒र्व्यं नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
yo agniḥ saptamānuṣaḥ śrito viśveṣu sindhuṣu tamāganma tripastyaṃ mandhāturdasyuhantamamagniṃ yajñeṣu pūrvyaṃ nabhantāmanyake same
This Agni, the seventh man, was placed among all the streams; he reaches Tripasta, slays the blind Dasyus—he set forth Agni before sacrifices to many heavens alike.

अ॒ग्निस्त्रीणि॑ त्रि॒धातू॒न्या क्षे॑ति वि॒दथा॑ क॒विः । स त्रीँरे॑काद॒शाँ इ॒ह यक्ष॑च्च पि॒प्रय॑च्च नो॒ विप्रो॑ दू॒तः परि॑ष्कृतो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
agnistrīṇi tridhātūnyā kṣeti vidathā kaviḥ sa trīm̐rekādaśām̐ iha yakṣacca piprayacca no vipro dūtaḥ pariṣkṛto nabhantāmanyake same
Agni knows the three threefold elements. He ordained three, eleven here; the guardian and the purifier, the priestly envoy prepared—he dwells among many heavens alike.

त्वं नो॑ अग्न आ॒युषु॒ त्वं दे॒वेषु॑ पूर्व्य॒ वस्व॒ एक॑ इरज्यसि । त्वामापः॑ परि॒स्रुतः॒ परि॑ यन्ति॒ स्वसे॑तवो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
tvaṃ no agna āyuṣu tvaṃ deveṣu pūrvya vasva eka irajyasi tvāmāpaḥ parisrutaḥ pari yanti svasetavo nabhantāmanyake same
You, Agni, are with us in life; you are first among the gods, sole in might. Waters flow around you; the household streams pursue you—abode of the sacrificial folk to many heavens alike.
