Agni was born for the gods; Agni knows mortals and living beings. Agni is the granter of wealth, the cleaver of channels; newly invoked, he fills the oblation — to many heavens alike.
Agni knows the birth of the gods; Agni knows the secrets of mankind; Agni is the giver of riches; Agni, duly worshipped with a new (oblation), sets open the doors (of opulence); may all our adversaries perish.
Agni knows all that springs from Gods, he knows the mystery of men. Giver of wealth is Agni, he uncloses both the doors to us when worshipped with our newest gift. Let all the others die away.
