स चि॑केत॒ सही॑यसा॒ग्निश्चि॒त्रेण॒ कर्म॑णा । स होता॒ शश्व॑तीनां॒ दक्षि॑णाभिर॒भीवृ॑त इ॒नोति॑ च प्रती॒व्यं१॒॑ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
sa ciketa sahīyasāgniścitreṇa karmaṇā sa hotā śaśvatīnāṃ dakṣiṇābhirabhīvṛta inoti ca pratīvyaṃ1 nabhantāmanyake same
He performs rites with skill and splendid acts. He, the eternal priest, prospers the south and sends bounty to the realm and earth, to many heavens alike.
Agni is known by his most powerful and manifold deeds; he is the invoker of the eternals; surroundedby victims, he proceeds against the foe; may all our adversaries perish.
Agni hath made himself renowned by wonderful victorious act. He is the Priest of all the tribes, chosen with sacrificial meeds. He urges Deities to receive. Let all the others die away.
