यो यजा॑ति॒ यजा॑त॒ इत्सु॒नव॑च्च॒ पचा॑ति च । ब्र॒ह्मेदिन्द्र॑स्य चाकनत्
yo yajāti yajāta itsunavacca pacāti ca brahmedindrasya cākanat
He who sacrifices and offers, he tends the soma and cooks; he proclaimed the greatness of Indra.

पु॒रो॒ळाशं॒ यो अ॑स्मै॒ सोमं॒ रर॑त आ॒शिर॑म् । पादित्तं श॒क्रो अंह॑सः
puroḷāśaṃ yo asmai somaṃ rarata āśiram pādittaṃ śakro aṃhasaḥ
He brought the ancient vats to him, soma rejoiced, the prayerful feast of Shakra was honored.

tasya dyumām̐ asadratho devajūtaḥ sa śūśuvat viśvā vanvannamitriyā
His chariot of heaven, yoked with gods and warriors, swiftly moved; I traverse all woodlands like an ally.

asya prajāvatī gṛhe'saścantī divedive iḷā dhenumatī duhe
His household increased with progeny; by day and night Ila, the cow of bounty, they milked.

या दम्प॑ती॒ सम॑नसा सुनु॒त आ च॒ धाव॑तः । देवा॑सो॒ नित्य॑या॒शिरा॑
yā dampatī samanasā sunuta ā ca dhāvataḥ devāso nityayāśirā
Those paired in mind ran hither and thither; the gods ever crowned them with glory.

प्रति॑ प्राश॒व्या॑ँ इतः स॒म्यञ्चा॑ ब॒र्हिरा॑शाते । न ता वाजे॑षु वायतः
prati prāśavyām̐ itaḥ samyañcā barhirāśāte na tā vājeṣu vāyataḥ
From here they were offered repeatedly; the assemblies cast the oblations outward; they are not blown away in the harnesses.

न दे॒वाना॒मपि॑ ह्नुतः सुम॒तिं न जु॑गुक्षतः । श्रवो॑ बृ॒हद्वि॑वासतः
na devānāmapi hnutaḥ sumatiṃ na jugukṣataḥ śravo bṛhadvivāsataḥ
Not even of the gods does one refrain from praising good counsel; the fame spread from the great abode.

पु॒त्रिणा॒ ता कु॑मा॒रिणा॒ विश्व॒मायु॒र्व्य॑श्नुतः । उ॒भा हिर॑ण्यपेशसा
putriṇā tā kumāriṇā viśvamāyurvyaśnutaḥ ubhā hiraṇyapeśasā
By sons and youths they prolonged all life and ate; both with golden belts they rejoiced.

वी॒तिहो॑त्रा कृ॒तद्व॑सू दश॒स्यन्ता॒मृता॑य॒ कम् । समूधो॑ रोम॒शं ह॑तो दे॒वेषु॑ कृणुतो॒ दुवः॑
vītihotrā kṛtadvasū daśasyantāmṛtāya kam samūdho romaśaṃ hato deveṣu kṛṇuto duvaḥ
Rite-makers, singers of praise, forged the immortal tenfold hymns; they lifted the bristling hair struck down among the gods.

आ शर्म॒ पर्व॑तानां वृणी॒महे॑ न॒दीना॑म् । आ विष्णोः॑ सचा॒भुवः॑
ā śarma parvatānāṃ vṛṇīmahe nadīnām ā viṣṇoḥ sacābhuvaḥ
We chose the shelter of mountains and rivers; thus they became companions of Vishnu.

ऐतु॑ पू॒षा र॒यिर्भगः॑ स्व॒स्ति स॑र्व॒धात॑मः । उ॒रुरध्वा॑ स्व॒स्तये॑
aitu pūṣā rayirbhagaḥ svasti sarvadhātamaḥ ururadhvā svastaye
O Pūṣan, thou art the wealth, the lord, auspicious for all creators; bestow vitality upon the thigh for well-being.

अ॒रम॑तिरन॒र्वणो॒ विश्वो॑ दे॒वस्य॒ मन॑सा । आ॒दि॒त्याना॑मने॒ह इत्
aramatiranarvaṇo viśvo devasya manasā ādityānāmaneha it
A great ruler moved through the waters, the mind of every god; he was among the Adityas here.

यथा॑ नो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा वरु॑णः॒ सन्ति॑ गो॒पाः । सु॒गा ऋ॒तस्य॒ पन्थाः॑
yathā no mitro aryamā varuṇaḥ santi gopāḥ sugā ṛtasya panthāḥ
Just as Mitra, Aryaman and Varuṇa are our protectors, so are the good paths of sacred order.

agniṃ vaḥ pūrvyaṃ girā devamīḷe vasūnām saparyantaḥ purupriyaṃ mitraṃ na kṣetrasādhasam
May you invoke Agni, the ancient, with radiant speech for the dwellers of wealth; arranging offerings that please the host, not wasting the field’s law.

म॒क्षू दे॒वव॑तो॒ रथः॒ शूरो॑ वा पृ॒त्सु कासु॑ चित् । दे॒वानां॒ य इन्मनो॒ यज॑मान॒ इय॑क्षत्य॒भीदय॑ज्वनो भुवत्
makṣū devavato rathaḥ śūro vā pṛtsu kāsu cit devānāṃ ya inmano yajamāna iyakṣatyabhīdayajvano bhuvat
The chariot of the divine one moved swift like a hero among horses and on high places; he who watches the sacrificer’s mind of the gods becomes strong by sacrifice.

न य॑जमान रिष्यसि॒ न सु॑न्वान॒ न दे॑वयो । दे॒वानां॒ य इन्मनो॒ यज॑मान॒ इय॑क्षत्य॒भीदय॑ज्वनो भुवत्
na yajamāna riṣyasi na sunvāna na devayo devānāṃ ya inmano yajamāna iyakṣatyabhīdayajvano bhuvat
You will not vanquish the sacrificer, nor the skilled one, nor the gods; he who watches the sacrificer’s mind of the gods becomes strong by sacrifice.

नकि॒ष्टं कर्म॑णा नश॒न्न प्र यो॑ष॒न्न यो॑षति । दे॒वानां॒ य इन्मनो॒ यज॑मान॒ इय॑क्षत्य॒भीदय॑ज्वनो भुवत्
nakiṣṭaṃ karmaṇā naśanna pra yoṣanna yoṣati devānāṃ ya inmano yajamāna iyakṣatyabhīdayajvano bhuvat
Nothing is of least worth by deed nor is destroyed by boasting or by lust; he who watches the sacrificer’s mind of the gods becomes strong by sacrifice.

अस॒दत्र॑ सु॒वीर्य॑मु॒त त्यदा॒श्वश्व्य॑म् । दे॒वानां॒ य इन्मनो॒ यज॑मान॒ इय॑क्षत्य॒भीदय॑ज्वनो भुवत्
asadatra suvīryamuta tyadāśvaśvyam devānāṃ ya inmano yajamāna iyakṣatyabhīdayajvano bhuvat
When the brave one surpassed the non-existent, he yoked swift horses; he who watches the sacrificer’s mind of the gods becomes strong by sacrifice.
