आ या॒त्विन्द्रोऽव॑स॒ उप॑ न इ॒ह स्तु॒तः स॑ध॒माद॑स्तु॒ शूरः॑ । वा॒वृ॒धा॒नस्तवि॑षी॒र्यस्य॑ पू॒र्वीर्द्यौर्न क्ष॒त्रम॒भिभू॑ति॒ पुष्या॑त्
ā yātvindro'vasa upa na iha stutaḥ sadhamādastu śūraḥ vāvṛdhānastaviṣīryasya pūrvīrdyaurna kṣatramabhibhūti puṣyāt
May Indra come hither and settle; may the heroic be praised here. Let the invigorating ones increase, the eastern heavens be lorded over by the shining Pusha.

तस्येदि॒ह स्त॑वथ॒ वृष्ण्या॑नि तुविद्यु॒म्नस्य॑ तुवि॒राध॑सो॒ नॄन् । यस्य॒ क्रतु॑र्विद॒थ्यो॒३॒॑ न स॒म्राट् सा॒ह्वान्तरु॑त्रो अ॒भ्यस्ति॑ कृ॒ष्टीः
tasyediha stavatha vṛṣṇyāni tuvidyumnasya tuvirādhaso nṝn yasya kraturvidathyo3 na samrāṭ sāhvāntarutro abhyasti kṛṣṭīḥ
Here praise his mighty deeds, the bulls of the shining one, the men of valour; whose strength and mighty power none can equal — the lord, the auspicious striver, presides over the ploughing.

आ या॒त्विन्द्रो॑ दि॒व आ पृ॑थि॒व्या म॒क्षू स॑मु॒द्रादु॒त वा॒ पुरी॑षात् । स्व॑र्णरा॒दव॑से नो म॒रुत्वा॑न्परा॒वतो॑ वा॒ सद॑नादृ॒तस्य॑
ā yātvindro diva ā pṛthivyā makṣū samudrāduta vā purīṣāt svarṇarādavase no marutvānparāvato vā sadanādṛtasya
May Indra come to the sky and to the earth, from the sea or from the man; may those who are like golden beams and the Maruts beyond the mountain be with us, like a firmly established host.

स्थू॒रस्य॑ रा॒यो बृ॑ह॒तो य ईशे॒ तमु॑ ष्टवाम वि॒दथे॒ष्विन्द्र॑म् । यो वा॒युना॒ जय॑ति॒ गोम॑तीषु॒ प्र धृ॑ष्णु॒या नय॑ति॒ वस्यो॒ अच्छ॑
sthūrasya rāyo bṛhato ya īśe tamu ṣṭavāma vidatheṣvindram yo vāyunā jayati gomatīṣu pra dhṛṣṇuyā nayati vasyo accha
The might of great kings grows; we praise that Indra among the hymns. He who conquers by the wind leads the cattle to the pasture and brings them under his sway.

उप॒ यो नमो॒ नम॑सि स्तभा॒यन्निय॑र्ति॒ वाचं॑ ज॒नय॒न्यज॑ध्यै । ऋ॒ञ्ज॒सा॒नः पु॑रु॒वार॑ उ॒क्थैरेन्द्रं॑ कृण्वीत॒ सद॑नेषु॒ होता॑
upa yo namo namasi stabhāyanniyarti vācaṃ janayanyajadhyai ṛñjasānaḥ puruvāra ukthairendraṃ kṛṇvīta sadaneṣu hotā
To him who comes we bow, offering praise for the support of speech and for the born decree; let the ancient singers perform Indra in the halls, the priest at the altar.

धि॒षा यदि॑ धिष॒ण्यन्तः॑ सर॒ण्यान्सद॑न्तो॒ अद्रि॑मौशि॒जस्य॒ गोहे॑ । आ दु॒रोषाः॑ पा॒स्त्यस्य॒ होता॒ यो नो॑ म॒हान्सं॒वर॑णेषु॒ वह्निः॑
dhiṣā yadi dhiṣaṇyantaḥ saraṇyānsadanto adrimauśijasya gohe ā duroṣāḥ pāstyasya hotā yo no mahānsaṃvaraṇeṣu vahniḥ
If the wise who dwell within think rightly and stand firm in refuge — they have milked the mountain’s kine. O distant ones, bestow the priestly portion; may the great fire carry us in the enclosures.

स॒त्रा यदीं॑ भार्व॒रस्य॒ वृष्णः॒ सिष॑क्ति॒ शुष्मः॑ स्तुव॒ते भरा॑य । गुहा॒ यदी॑मौशि॒जस्य॒ गोहे॒ प्र यद्धि॒ये प्राय॑से॒ मदा॑य
satrā yadīṃ bhārvarasya vṛṣṇaḥ siṣakti śuṣmaḥ stuvate bharāya guhā yadīmauśijasya gohe pra yaddhiye prāyase madāya
When the strong Bull’s offspring, the young Vrishṇa, with slender might praised the abundant one: if the cave of the mountain kine was for the male, then may it be for vigor and felicity.

वि यद्वरां॑सि॒ पर्व॑तस्य वृ॒ण्वे पयो॑भिर्जि॒न्वे अ॒पां जवां॑सि । वि॒दद्गौ॒रस्य॑ गव॒यस्य॒ गोहे॒ यदी॒ वाजा॑य सु॒ध्यो॒३॒॑ वह॑न्ति
vi yadvarāṃsi parvatasya vṛṇve payobhirjinve apāṃ javāṃsi vidadgaurasya gavayasya gohe yadī vājāya sudhyo3 vahanti
When I seek the mountain’s steeps I choose waters, I mix in streams of rivers. If, for the ox and the cow of the strong one, the steeds carry the wealth of the herd, they bear the prize for the kine.

भ॒द्रा ते॒ हस्ता॒ सुकृ॑तो॒त पा॒णी प्र॑य॒न्तारा॑ स्तुव॒ते राध॑ इन्द्र । का ते॒ निष॑त्तिः॒ किमु॒ नो म॑मत्सि॒ किं नोदु॑दु हर्षसे॒ दात॒वा उ॑
bhadrā te hastā sukṛtota pāṇī prayantārā stuvate rādha indra kā te niṣattiḥ kimu no mamatsi kiṃ nodudu harṣase dātavā u
May your hands be auspicious, well-made; may the giver praise the bearer, O Indra. What is your seat? Why do you not accept our gift? Why do you not rejoice, having given?

ए॒वा वस्व॒ इन्द्रः॑ स॒त्यः स॒म्राड्ढन्ता॑ वृ॒त्रं वरि॑वः पू॒रवे॑ कः । पुरु॑ष्टुत॒ क्रत्वा॑ नः शग्धि रा॒यो भ॑क्षी॒य तेऽव॑सो॒ दैव्य॑स्य
evā vasva indraḥ satyaḥ samrāḍḍhantā vṛtraṃ varivaḥ pūrave kaḥ puruṣṭuta kratvā naḥ śagdhi rāyo bhakṣīya te'vaso daivyasya
Thus Indra, the mighty, the truthful, smote Vritra, the obstructer, and filled with treasures of ancient days. Having celebrated with praise and carved a hymn for us, may you eat the spoil, divine one.

नू ष्टु॒त इ॑न्द्र॒ नू गृ॑णा॒न इषं॑ जरि॒त्रे न॒द्यो॒३॒॑ न पी॑पेः । अका॑रि ते हरिवो॒ ब्रह्म॒ नव्यं॑ धि॒या स्या॑म र॒थ्यः॑ सदा॒साः
nū ṣṭuta indra nū gṛṇāna iṣaṃ jaritre nadyo3 na pīpeḥ akāri te harivo brahma navyaṃ dhiyā syāma rathyaḥ sadāsāḥ
Do not praise Indra in vain, do not solicit him with loud calls, O purifier; do not pour forth empty songs. The immaortal ones made for you new sacred thought; may our chariots be always ready.
