समि॑द्धो अ॒ग्निर्निहि॑तः पृथि॒व्यां प्र॒त्यङ्विश्वा॑नि॒ भुव॑नान्यस्थात् । होता॑ पाव॒कः प्र॒दिवः॑ सुमे॒धा दे॒वो दे॒वान्य॑जत्व॒ग्निरर्ह॑न्
samiddho agnirnihitaḥ pṛthivyāṃ pratyaṅviśvāni bhuvanānyasthāt hotā pāvakaḥ pradivaḥ sumedhā devo devānyajatvagnirarhan
Kindled, Agni was placed upon the earth; he stood embracing all the worlds. The fire, the sacrificer, the purifier, the wise god, the god of gods, Agni was invoked in the sacrificial rite as worthy.

नरा॒शंसः॒ प्रति॒ धामा॑न्य॒ञ्जन्ति॒स्रो दिवः॒ प्रति॑ म॒ह्ना स्व॒र्चिः । घृ॒त॒प्रुषा॒ मन॑सा ह॒व्यमु॒न्दन्मू॒र्धन्य॒ज्ञस्य॒ सम॑नक्तु दे॒वान्
narāśaṃsaḥ prati dhāmānyañjantisro divaḥ prati mahnā svarciḥ ghṛtapruṣā manasā havyamundanmūrdhanyajñasya samanaktu devān
Men spread butter and offerings to the stations; thrice daily the bright flame is given its share. With clarified milk and pure mind the oblation is offered, the priests call on the gods with the head of the rite.

ई॒ळि॒तो अ॑ग्ने॒ मन॑सा नो॒ अर्ह॑न्दे॒वान्य॑क्षि॒ मानु॑षा॒त्पूर्वो॑ अ॒द्य । स आ व॑ह म॒रुतां॒ शर्धो॒ अच्यु॑त॒मिन्द्रं॑ नरो बर्हि॒षदं॑ यजध्वम्
īḷito agne manasā no arhandevānyakṣi mānuṣātpūrvo adya sa ā vaha marutāṃ śardho acyutamindraṃ naro barhiṣadaṃ yajadhvam
O Agni, kindled by thought, may you, with mind, accept our gods’ rites as in former days and now. Bring us the Maruts’ aid, the unshaken Indra; men, be vigorous in the public hymn and perform the offering openly.

देव॑ बर्हि॒र्वर्ध॑मानं सु॒वीरं॑ स्ती॒र्णं रा॒ये सु॒भरं॒ वेद्य॒स्याम् । घृ॒तेना॒क्तं व॑सवः सीदते॒दं विश्वे॑ देवा आदित्या य॒ज्ञिया॑सः
deva barhirvardhamānaṃ suvīraṃ stīrṇaṃ rāye subharaṃ vedyasyām ghṛtenāktaṃ vasavaḥ sīdatedaṃ viśve devā ādityā yajñiyāsaḥ
Gods, praised in glory, increased, the beautiful strong one is spread out for the realm to be known. With clarified butter the Vasus are pleased; all the gods, the Aditi-born, enjoy the rite of the sacrifice.

वि श्र॑यन्तामुर्वि॒या हू॒यमा॑ना॒ द्वारो॑ दे॒वीः सु॑प्राय॒णा नमो॑भिः । व्यच॑स्वती॒र्वि प्र॑थन्तामजु॒र्या वर्णं॑ पुना॒ना य॒शसं॑ सु॒वीर॑म्
vi śrayantāmurviyā hūyamānā dvāro devīḥ suprāyaṇā namobhiḥ vyacasvatīrvi prathantāmajuryā varṇaṃ punānā yaśasaṃ suvīram
Let the gateways be offered with reverence by the singers, the goddesses go forth with good purpose; the bright ones advance, bearing praise anew, the glorious brave one.

सा॒ध्वपां॑सि स॒नता॑ न उक्षि॒ते उ॒षासा॒नक्ता॑ व॒य्ये॑व रण्वि॒ते । तन्तुं॑ त॒तं सं॒वय॑न्ती समी॒ची य॒ज्ञस्य॒ पेशः॑ सु॒दुघे॒ पय॑स्वती
sādhvapāṃsi sanatā na ukṣite uṣāsānaktā vayyeva raṇvite tantuṃ tataṃ saṃvayantī samīcī yajñasya peśaḥ sudughe payasvatī
She, the morn, settled among the waters, does not depart; the dawning ones, famed in battle, draw together. Binding that woven covering, the priestly cord unites the sacrifice’s offering, rich in clarified milk and full of the watery drink.

दैव्या॒ होता॑रा प्रथ॒मा वि॒दुष्ट॑र ऋ॒जु य॑क्षतः॒ समृ॒चा व॒पुष्ट॑रा । दे॒वान्यज॑न्तावृतु॒था सम॑ञ्जतो॒ नाभा॑ पृथि॒व्या अधि॒ सानु॑षु त्रि॒षु
daivyā hotārā prathamā viduṣṭara ṛju yakṣataḥ samṛcā vapuṣṭarā devānyajantāvṛtuthā samañjato nābhā pṛthivyā adhi sānuṣu triṣu
A divine, foremost sacrificer and the knower of rites, straight and vigorous in strength, with a robust body; they worshipped the gods, then fixed on the earth’s navel, standing above in the threefold places.

सर॑स्वती सा॒धय॑न्ती॒ धियं॑ न॒ इळा॑ दे॒वी भार॑ती वि॒श्वतू॑र्तिः । ति॒स्रो दे॒वीः स्व॒धया॑ ब॒र्हिरेदमच्छि॑द्रं पान्तु शर॒णं नि॒षद्य॑
sarasvatī sādhayantī dhiyaṃ na iḷā devī bhāratī viśvatūrtiḥ tisro devīḥ svadhayā barhiredamacchidraṃ pāntu śaraṇaṃ niṣadya
Sarasvatī, who grants understanding, not Iḷā but the goddess Bhāratī of widespread speech, she who establishes thought: three goddesses with their offerings protect this place here; may they seat refuge.

पि॒शङ्ग॑रूपः सु॒भरो॑ वयो॒धाः श्रु॒ष्टी वी॒रो जा॑यते दे॒वका॑मः । प्र॒जां त्वष्टा॒ वि ष्य॑तु॒ नाभि॑म॒स्मे अथा॑ दे॒वाना॒मप्ये॑तु॒ पाथः॑
piśaṅgarūpaḥ subharo vayodhāḥ śruṣṭī vīro jāyate devakāmaḥ prajāṃ tvaṣṭā vi ṣyatu nābhimasme athā devānāmapyetu pāthaḥ
Born are youths of kindly form and handsome vigour, heroes of vigorous hearing, desirous of gods. May the fashioner of progeny grant offspring to me; may a path come forth even for the gods to my abode.

वन॒स्पति॑रवसृ॒जन्नुप॑ स्थाद॒ग्निर्ह॒विः सू॑दयाति॒ प्र धी॒भिः । त्रिधा॒ सम॑क्तं नयतु प्रजा॒नन्दे॒वेभ्यो॒ दैव्यः॑ शमि॒तोप॑ ह॒व्यम्
vanaspatiravasṛjannupa sthādagnirhaviḥ sūdayāti pra dhībhiḥ tridhā samaktaṃ nayatu prajānandevebhyo daivyaḥ śamitopa havyam
Lord of the forests fashioned and set down; Agni the oblation kindled rises with offerings. Let the people be led threefold; for divine delight the divine oblation, pacified, is to be offered.

घृ॒तं मि॑मिक्षे घृ॒तम॑स्य॒ योनि॑र्घृ॒ते श्रि॒तो घृ॒तम्व॑स्य॒ धाम॑ । अ॒नु॒ष्व॒धमा व॑ह मा॒दय॑स्व॒ स्वाहा॑कृतं वृषभ वक्षि ह॒व्यम्
ghṛtaṃ mimikṣe ghṛtamasya yonirghṛte śrito ghṛtamvasya dhāma anuṣvadhamā vaha mādayasva svāhākṛtaṃ vṛṣabha vakṣi havyam
Ghee, seek my ghee: its source is the ghee; its seat is the ghee. Follow the established law, carry it, delight it: the oblation made with svāhā, O bull, declare the oblation.
