समि॑द्धो अ॒द्य मनु॑षो दुरो॒णे दे॒वो दे॒वान्य॑जसि जातवेदः । आ च॒ वह॑ मित्रमहश्चिकि॒त्वान्त्वं दू॒तः क॒विर॑सि॒ प्रचे॑ताः
samiddho adya manuṣo duroṇe devo devānyajasi jātavedaḥ ā ca vaha mitramahaścikitvāntvaṃ dūtaḥ kavirasi pracetāḥ
The man is purified today; O Jātavedas, you worshipped the gods at the difficult moment. And O Mitra and Varuna, you, herald-poet, are the wise one who inspires (them).

तनू॑नपात्प॒थ ऋ॒तस्य॒ याना॒न्मध्वा॑ सम॒ञ्जन्स्व॑दया सुजिह्व । मन्मा॑नि धी॒भिरु॒त य॒ज्ञमृ॒न्धन्दे॑व॒त्रा च॑ कृणुह्यध्व॒रं नः॑
tanūnapātpatha ṛtasya yānānmadhvā samañjansvadayā sujihva manmāni dhībhiruta yajñamṛndhandevatrā ca kṛṇuhyadhvaraṃ naḥ
Make the bodies proceed on the path of ṛta; with sweet voice and skillful tongue, with steadfast minds perform the sacrifice; do for us the appointed oblation and the established ritual.

आ॒जुह्वा॑न॒ ईड्यो॒ वन्द्य॒श्चा या॑ह्यग्ने॒ वसु॑भिः स॒जोषाः॑ । त्वं दे॒वाना॑मसि यह्व॒ होता॒ स ए॑नान्यक्षीषि॒तो यजी॑यान्
ājuhvāna īḍyo vandyaścā yāhyagne vasubhiḥ sajoṣāḥ tvaṃ devānāmasi yahva hotā sa enānyakṣīṣito yajīyān
Praise and invoke the welcomed, the worshipful Agni, with the Vasus in friendly union. You are the charioteer of the gods; the sacrificer who calls—may he offer what is to be offered.

प्रा॒चीनं॑ ब॒र्हिः प्र॒दिशा॑ पृथि॒व्या वस्तो॑र॒स्या वृ॑ज्यते॒ अग्रे॒ अह्ना॑म् । व्यु॑ प्रथते वित॒रं वरी॑यो दे॒वेभ्यो॒ अदि॑तये स्यो॒नम्
prācīnaṃ barhiḥ pradiśā pṛthivyā vastorasyā vṛjyate agre ahnām vyu prathate vitaraṃ varīyo devebhyo aditaye syonam
The eastern atmosphere, the region of the earth, the dwelling of the vital force was established before the days. May the spreading, abundant rain move forth for the gods and for Aditi bring offspring.

व्यच॑स्वतीरुर्वि॒या वि श्र॑यन्तां॒ पति॑भ्यो॒ न जन॑यः॒ शुम्भ॑मानाः । देवी॑र्द्वारो बृहतीर्विश्वमिन्वा दे॒वेभ्यो॑ भवत सुप्राय॒णाः
vyacasvatīrurviyā vi śrayantāṃ patibhyo na janayaḥ śumbhamānāḥ devīrdvāro bṛhatīrviśvaminvā devebhyo bhavata suprāyaṇāḥ
Let the twofold waters flow across the open ways; may they favour the lords and not give birth to arrogance. The goddess of the door, great and widespread, may she be for the gods at their prosperous departure.

आ सु॒ष्वय॑न्ती यज॒ते उपा॑के उ॒षासा॒नक्ता॑ सदतां॒ नि योनौ॑ । दि॒व्ये योष॑णे बृह॒ती सु॑रु॒क्मे अधि॒ श्रियं॑ शुक्र॒पिशं॒ दधा॑ने
ā suṣvayantī yajate upāke uṣāsānaktā sadatāṃ ni yonau divye yoṣaṇe bṛhatī surukme adhi śriyaṃ śukrapiśaṃ dadhāne
May those who fast and sacrifice approach; Dawn, summoned, be with true beings in the womb of life. In the divine seat, O great one, place abundant splendour and giving wealth like shining butter.

दैव्या॒ होता॑रा प्रथ॒मा सु॒वाचा॒ मिमा॑ना य॒ज्ञं मनु॑षो॒ यज॑ध्यै । प्र॒चो॒दय॑न्ता वि॒दथे॑षु का॒रू प्रा॒चीनं॒ ज्योतिः॑ प्र॒दिशा॑ दि॒शन्ता॑
daivyā hotārā prathamā suvācā mimānā yajñaṃ manuṣo yajadhyai pracodayantā vidatheṣu kārū prācīnaṃ jyotiḥ pradiśā diśantā
The divine offerings, first proclaimed, spoke well: this is the sacrifice that humans should perform. They inspire in the rites the ancient light, proclaiming and distributing the regions.

आ नो॑ य॒ज्ञं भार॑ती॒ तूय॑मे॒त्विळा॑ मनु॒ष्वदि॒ह चे॒तय॑न्ती । ति॒स्रो दे॒वीर्ब॒र्हिरेदं स्यो॒नं सर॑स्वती॒ स्वप॑सः सदन्तु
ā no yajñaṃ bhāratī tūyametviḷā manuṣvadiha cetayantī tisro devīrbarhiredaṃ syonaṃ sarasvatī svapasaḥ sadantu
May Bharati (speech) and you rouse this sacrifice for men here in the earth. May the three goddesses of the ritual—Bṛhiri, Sarasvati, and Svapasa—be present in this region and partake.

य इ॒मे द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी जनि॑त्री रू॒पैरपिं॑श॒द्भुव॑नानि॒ विश्वा॑ । तम॒द्य हो॑तरिषि॒तो यजी॑यान्दे॒वं त्वष्टा॑रमि॒ह य॑क्षि वि॒द्वान्
ya ime dyāvāpṛthivī janitrī rūpairapiṃśadbhuvanāni viśvā tamadya hotariṣito yajīyāndevaṃ tvaṣṭāramiha yakṣi vidvān
Those who fashioned the heavens and earth, progenitresses of forms, all the worlds—let this priestly one worship them with songs of the Hotṛ. O divine craftsman Tvashṭṛ, here behold and know (this).

उ॒पाव॑सृज॒ त्मन्या॑ सम॒ञ्जन्दे॒वानां॒ पाथ॑ ऋतु॒था ह॒वींषि॑ । वन॒स्पतिः॑ शमि॒ता दे॒वो अ॒ग्निः स्वद॑न्तु ह॒व्यं मधु॑ना घृ॒तेन॑
upāvasṛja tmanyā samañjandevānāṃ pātha ṛtuthā havīṃṣi vanaspatiḥ śamitā devo agniḥ svadantu havyaṃ madhunā ghṛtena
He released the oblations; the gods in order arranged the seasons and the offerings. Vanaspati, gentle and tamed, and Agni accept the oblation—may the sweet ghee and honey be the sacrificial food.

स॒द्यो जा॒तो व्य॑मिमीत य॒ज्ञम॒ग्निर्दे॒वाना॑मभवत्पुरो॒गाः । अ॒स्य होतुः॑ प्र॒दिश्यृ॒तस्य॑ वा॒चि स्वाहा॑कृतं ह॒विर॑दन्तु दे॒वाः
sadyo jāto vyamimīta yajñamagnirdevānāmabhavatpurogāḥ asya hotuḥ pradiśyṛtasya vāci svāhākṛtaṃ haviradantu devāḥ
Born at once, the Agni came as the sacrificer of the gods, the forefront one. May the gods accept the oblation voiced by the priest who utters the fitting formula 'svāhā'.
