दैव्या॒ होता॑रा प्रथ॒मा सु॒वाचा॒ मिमा॑ना य॒ज्ञं मनु॑षो॒ यज॑ध्यै । प्र॒चो॒दय॑न्ता वि॒दथे॑षु का॒रू प्रा॒चीनं॒ ज्योतिः॑ प्र॒दिशा॑ दि॒शन्ता॑
daivyā hotārā prathamā suvācā mimānā yajñaṃ manuṣo yajadhyai pracodayantā vidatheṣu kārū prācīnaṃ jyotiḥ pradiśā diśantā
The divine offerings, first proclaimed, spoke well: this is the sacrifice that humans should perform. They inspire in the rites the ancient light, proclaiming and distributing the regions.
Divine ministers, prior (to those of earth), repeaters of pious praise, instrumental tuting the sacrifice at whichmen are to worship, (sit down) stimulating (the priests) at the sacrifices, makers (of praises), indicating theeastern fire with the prescribed (text).
Come the two first celestial sweet-voiced Hotars, arranging sacrifice for man to worship As singers who inspire us in assemblies, showing the eastward light with their direction.
