samiddho adya manuṣo duroṇe devo devānyajasi jātavedaḥ ā ca vaha mitramahaścikitvāntvaṃ dūtaḥ kavirasi pracetāḥ
The man is purified today; O Jātavedas, you worshipped the gods at the difficult moment. And O Mitra and Varuna, you, herald-poet, are the wise one who inspires (them).
Kindled today, Jātavedas, in the dwelling of the worshipper, you who are divine, sacrifice to the godṣBear (the oblation), you who respect your friends, who are intelligent; you are the wise, far-seeing messenger (ofthe gods).
THOU in the house of man this day enkindled worshippest Gods as God, O Jatavedas. Observant, bright as Mitra, bring them hither: thou art a sapient and foreknowing envoy.
