स॒द्यो जा॒तो व्य॑मिमीत य॒ज्ञम॒ग्निर्दे॒वाना॑मभवत्पुरो॒गाः । अ॒स्य होतुः॑ प्र॒दिश्यृ॒तस्य॑ वा॒चि स्वाहा॑कृतं ह॒विर॑दन्तु दे॒वाः
sadyo jāto vyamimīta yajñamagnirdevānāmabhavatpurogāḥ asya hotuḥ pradiśyṛtasya vāci svāhākṛtaṃ haviradantu devāḥ
Born at once, the Agni came as the sacrificer of the gods, the forefront one. May the gods accept the oblation voiced by the priest who utters the fitting formula 'svāhā'.
As soon as he was born, Agni constructed a sacrifice, he was the preceder of the gods; may the godspartake of the oblation presented with the svāhā through the voice of him the hotā of the sacrifice at theeastern station.
Agni, as soon as he was born, made ready the sacrifice, and was the Gods' preceder. May the Gods cat our offering consecrated according to this true Priest's voice and guidance.
