इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ यमव॑थ उ॒भा वाजे॑षु॒ मर्त्य॑म् । दृ॒ळ्हा चि॒त्स प्र भे॑दति द्यु॒म्ना वाणी॑रिव त्रि॒तः
indrāgnī yamavatha ubhā vājeṣu martyam dṛḷhā citsa pra bhedati dyumnā vāṇīriva tritaḥ
Indra and Agni, Yama and the pair in the riches—these divide the mortal and the immortal; strong-minded speech cleaves the heavens like the thrice-born word.

या पृत॑नासु दु॒ष्टरा॒ या वाजे॑षु श्र॒वाय्या॑ । या पञ्च॑ चर्ष॒णीर॒भी॑न्द्रा॒ग्नी ता ह॑वामहे
yā pṛtanāsu duṣṭarā yā vājeṣu śravāyyā yā pañca carṣaṇīrabhīndrāgnī tā havāmahe
She who is harmful among the tribes, she who is spoken of in the wealth—she of five fold plunder, Agni-Indra, that we invoke in the oblation.

तयो॒रिदम॑व॒च्छव॑स्ति॒ग्मा दि॒द्युन्म॒घोनोः॑ । प्रति॒ द्रुणा॒ गभ॑स्त्यो॒र्गवां॑ वृत्र॒घ्न एष॑ते
tayoridamavacchavastigmā didyunmaghonoḥ prati druṇā gabhastyorgavāṃ vṛtraghna eṣate
From those two the covering was spread, the bright mists of the cloud. With firm will the gatherers of cows struck the slayer of Vṛtra.

ता वा॒मेषे॒ रथा॑नामिन्द्रा॒ग्नी ह॑वामहे । पती॑ तु॒रस्य॒ राध॑सो वि॒द्वांसा॒ गिर्व॑णस्तमा
tā vāmeṣe rathānāmindrāgnī havāmahe patī turasya rādhaso vidvāṃsā girvaṇastamā
These, O singers, we invoke for the charioteers—Indra and Agni as our oblation. Masters of the chariot, wise in counsel, they have the most famed voice.

ता वृ॒धन्ता॒वनु॒ द्यून्मर्ता॑य दे॒वाव॒दभा॑ । अर्ह॑न्ता चित्पु॒रो द॒धेंऽशे॑व दे॒वावर्व॑ते
tā vṛdhantāvanu dyūnmartāya devāvadabhā arhantā citpuro dadheṃ'śeva devāvarvate
They grow strong and rise, moving the heavens and the mortals like gods. Worthy ones, may they grant the former portion as if the gods had bestowed it.

ए॒वेन्द्रा॒ग्निभ्या॒महा॑वि ह॒व्यं शू॒ष्यं॑ घृ॒तं न पू॒तमद्रि॑भिः । ता सू॒रिषु॒ श्रवो॑ बृ॒हद्र॒यिं गृ॒णत्सु॑ दिधृत॒मिषं॑ गृ॒णत्सु॑ दिधृतम्
evendrāgnibhyāmahāvi havyaṃ śūṣyaṃ ghṛtaṃ na pūtamadribhiḥ tā sūriṣu śravo bṛhadrayiṃ gṛṇatsu didhṛtamiṣaṃ gṛṇatsu didhṛtam
To Indra and Agni we offer oblation, grain, dried ghee, pure wines. In the heavens they acclaim broad praise; in the stored foods they acclaim the preserved meats.
