tvamagne varuṇo jāyase yattvaṃ mitro bhavasi yatsamiddhaḥ tve viśve sahasasputra devāstvamindro dāśuṣe martyāya
You, Agni, are born Varuṇa, you are Mitra, you are the established one. All gods are with you, son of thousands; you, Indra, give (favor) to mortals.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 5, Sukta 3 · Verse 5.3.2
tvamaryamā bhavasi yatkanīnāṃ nāma svadhāvanguhyaṃ bibharṣi añjanti mitraṃ sudhitaṃ na gobhiryaddampatī samanasā kṛṇoṣi
You become Aryaman who fills the inner rites of the small ones with their names. They anoint Mitra, the renowned; with kine and by the act of pairing you accomplish it with equal mind.

tava śriye maruto marjayanta rudra yatte janima cāru citram padaṃ yadviṣṇorupamaṃ nidhāyi tena pāsi guhyaṃ nāma gonām
For your glory the Maruts purify; Rudra fashioned for you a beautiful wondrous birth. Placing a foot like Vishṇu, you hide then the secret of the kine.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 5, Sukta 3 · Verse 5.3.4
tava śriyā sudṛśo deva devāḥ purū dadhānā amṛtaṃ sapanta hotāramagniṃ manuṣo ni ṣedurdaśasyanta uśijaḥ śaṃsamāyoḥ
By your glory the well-formed gods set in cities the mortals who give immortality. The sacrificer placed Agni for the hot-offering; O Ushija, praise the two mothers.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 5, Sukta 3 · Verse 5.3.5
na tvaddhotā pūrvo agne yajīyānna kāvyaiḥ paro asti svadhāvaḥ viśaśca yasyā atithirbhavāsi sa yajñena vanavaddeva martān
Not lower is the ancient hotar, O Agni, than the worship offered by chants; farther is the svadhā. She whose guest you are becomes through sacrifice both forest and mortal.
Rigveda 5.003.06
Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 5, Sukta 3 · Verse 5.3.6
vayamagne vanuyāma tvotā vasūyavo haviṣā budhyamānāḥ vayaṃ samarye vidatheṣvahnāṃ vayaṃ rāyā sahasasputra martān
We, Agni, are renewed; you, hotar, wealthy in offerings, are understanding. We, warriors among rites, together with the sons of thousands, are mortals.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 5, Sukta 3 · Verse 5.3.7
yo na āgo abhyeno bharātyadhīdaghamaghaśaṃse dadhāta jahī cikitvo abhiśastimetāmagne yo no marcayati dvayena
He who does not bring here the burden of the libation, who placed the clarified butter with splendor, who offered the draught — strike him down. Drive away, O Agni, those who injure these rites; he who honors us with twofold praise, destroy (our foes).

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 5, Sukta 3 · Verse 5.3.8

tvāmasyā vyuṣi deva pūrve dūtaṃ kṛṇvānā ayajanta havyaiḥ saṃsthe yadagna īyase rayīṇāṃ devo martairvasubhiridhyamānaḥ
Formerly the gods sent you forth, O divine, as their messenger; they sacrificed with oblations. When Agni was established you became the wealthy among men and gods, accepted by the generous.

ava spṛdhi pitaraṃ yodhi vidvānputro yaste sahasaḥ sūna ūhe kadā cikitvo abhi cakṣase no'gne kadām̐ ṛtacidyātayāse
Do not contend with the father; the wise son who knows will understand what is with you; when will you look upon us, O Agni, when will you grant the appointed rites?

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 5, Sukta 3 · Verse 5.3.10
bhūri nāma vandamāno dadhāti pitā vaso yadi tajjoṣayāse kuviddevasya sahasā cakānaḥ sumnamagnirvanate vāvṛdhānaḥ
The father, praising much by name, gave riches if he rejoiced in that. How strong is the god’s might; the famed Agni goes through the forests, the protector of the wealthy.

tvamaṅga jaritāraṃ yaviṣṭha viśvānyagne duritāti parṣi stenā adṛśranripavo janāso'jñātaketā vṛjinā abhūvan
You, bearer of limbs, traversing all, O Agni, move through the difficult paths. Thereby unseen rulers arose; peoples without leaders became known and made conforming.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 5, Sukta 3 · Verse 5.3.12
ime yāmāsastvadrigabhūvanvasave vā tadidāgo avāci nāhāyamagnirabhiśastaye no na rīṣate vāvṛdhānaḥ parā dāt
These reins you bound, O Agni, and made the world together; or you spoke this offering. Do not be angry with us who have invoked you; the mighty one gives afar.
