अध्व॑र्यवो॒ भर॒तेन्द्रा॑य॒ सोम॒माम॑त्रेभिः सिञ्चता॒ मद्य॒मन्धः॑ । का॒मी हि वी॒रः सद॑मस्य पी॒तिं जु॒होत॒ वृष्णे॒ तदिदे॒ष व॑ष्टि
adhvaryavo bharatendrāya somamāmatrebhiḥ siñcatā madyamandhaḥ kāmī hi vīraḥ sadamasya pītiṃ juhota vṛṣṇe tadideṣa vaṣṭi
The Adhvaryu pour Soma for Bharata’s Indra with libations; the intoxicating juice they sprinkle. The desirous hero offers the draught to the host; this indeed is the ordained rite.

अध्व॑र्यवो॒ यो अ॒पो व॑व्रि॒वांसं॑ वृ॒त्रं ज॒घाना॒शन्ये॑व वृ॒क्षम् । तस्मा॑ ए॒तं भ॑रत तद्व॒शाय॑ँ ए॒ष इन्द्रो॑ अर्हति पी॒तिम॑स्य
adhvaryavo yo apo vavrivāṃsaṃ vṛtraṃ jaghānāśanyeva vṛkṣam tasmā etaṃ bharata tadvaśāyam̐ eṣa indro arhati pītimasya
The Adhvaryu who made the waters flow and smote Vritra, who cleft the mountain like a tree — therefore bear this draught under his control; Indra is worthy of this drink.

अध्व॑र्यवो॒ यो दृभी॑कं ज॒घान॒ यो गा उ॒दाज॒दप॒ हि व॒लं वः । तस्मा॑ ए॒तम॒न्तरि॑क्षे॒ न वात॒मिन्द्रं॒ सोमै॒रोर्णु॑त॒ जूर्न वस्त्रैः॑
adhvaryavo yo dṛbhīkaṃ jaghāna yo gā udājadapa hi valaṃ vaḥ tasmā etamantarikṣe na vātamindraṃ somairorṇuta jūrna vastraiḥ
The Adhvaryu who struck the stronghold, who yoked the kine and brought the herd — therefore set this within the firmament; may Indra, with Soma, clothe the aged in garments.

adhvaryavo ya uraṇaṃ jaghāna nava cakhvāṃsaṃ navatiṃ ca bāhūn yo arbudamava nīcā babādhe tamindraṃ somasya bhṛthe hinota
The Adhvaryu who struck the breast, who broke nine kinds of spears and ninety arms; who struck down the low Arbud, he harmed not Indra’s Soma — let him not diminish it.

अध्व॑र्यवो॒ यः स्वश्नं॑ ज॒घान॒ यः शुष्ण॑म॒शुषं॒ यो व्यं॑सम् । यः पिप्रुं॒ नमु॑चिं॒ यो रु॑धि॒क्रां तस्मा॒ इन्द्रा॒यान्ध॑सो जुहोत
adhvaryavo yaḥ svaśnaṃ jaghāna yaḥ śuṣṇamaśuṣaṃ yo vyaṃsam yaḥ pipruṃ namuciṃ yo rudhikrāṃ tasmā indrāyāndhaso juhota
The Adhvaryu who struck what was his to eat, who struck the dry and the unripe, who spread the offering — who caused the sprouts to bend and made them grow: therefore Indra, for the blind, offer the sacrifice.

अध्व॑र्यवो॒ यः श॒तं शम्ब॑रस्य॒ पुरो॑ बि॒भेदाश्म॑नेव पू॒र्वीः । यो व॒र्चिनः॑ श॒तमिन्द्रः॑ स॒हस्र॑म॒पाव॑प॒द्भर॑ता॒ सोम॑मस्मै
adhvaryavo yaḥ śataṃ śambarasya puro bibhedāśmaneva pūrvīḥ yo varcinaḥ śatamindraḥ sahasramapāvapadbharatā somamasmai
The Adhvaryu who struck a hundred of Shambara’s city like rocks, who laid low a hundred champions, Indra bore a thousandfold might and endowed Soma for him.

अध्व॑र्यवो॒ यः श॒तमा स॒हस्रं॒ भूम्या॑ उ॒पस्थेऽव॑पज्जघ॒न्वान् । कुत्स॑स्या॒योर॑तिथि॒ग्वस्य॑ वी॒रान्न्यावृ॑ण॒ग्भर॑ता॒ सोम॑मस्मै
adhvaryavo yaḥ śatamā sahasraṃ bhūmyā upasthe'vapajjaghanvān kutsasyāyoratithigvasya vīrānnyāvṛṇagbharatā somamasmai
The Adhvaryu who caused a hundred thousand to fall from the earth, who brought down hosts — for what disgrace to the two guests? The warrior-assembled Soma bears the burden for us.

अध्व॑र्यवो॒ यन्न॑रः का॒मया॑ध्वे श्रु॒ष्टी वह॑न्तो नशथा॒ तदिन्द्रे॑ । गभ॑स्तिपूतं भरत श्रु॒तायेन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमं॑ यज्यवो जुहोत
adhvaryavo yannaraḥ kāmayādhve śruṣṭī vahanto naśathā tadindre gabhastipūtaṃ bharata śrutāyendrāya somaṃ yajyavo juhota
When men, desiring, brought forth creative forces on the path and were struck down, Indra: the priest poured Soma, the purified libation, to you for oblation.

अध्व॑र्यवः॒ कर्त॑ना श्रु॒ष्टिम॑स्मै॒ वने॒ निपू॑तं॒ वन॒ उन्न॑यध्वम् । जु॒षा॒णो हस्त्य॑म॒भि वा॑वशे व॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ सोमं॑ मदि॒रं जु॑होत
adhvaryavaḥ kartanā śruṣṭimasmai vane nipūtaṃ vana unnayadhvam juṣāṇo hastyamabhi vāvaśe va indrāya somaṃ madiraṃ juhota
The Adhvaryus, by their rites, set forth creation for me, purified in the forest they raised the woodland. The pouring-man offered Soma, the intoxicating drink, to Indra as libation.

अध्व॑र्यवः॒ पय॒सोध॒र्यथा॒ गोः सोमे॑भिरीं पृणता भो॒जमिन्द्र॑म् । वेदा॒हम॑स्य॒ निभृ॑तं म ए॒तद्दित्स॑न्तं॒ भूयो॑ यज॒तश्चि॑केत
adhvaryavaḥ payasodharyathā goḥ somebhirīṃ pṛṇatā bhojamindram vedāhamasya nibhṛtaṃ ma etadditsantaṃ bhūyo yajataściketa
The Adhvaryus, like cows bearing milk, filled Indra’s feast with Soma; I know the sacred hymns; grant this, O praised one, again as the sacrificer desires.

अध्व॑र्यवो॒ यो दि॒व्यस्य॒ वस्वो॒ यः पार्थि॑वस्य॒ क्षम्य॑स्य॒ राजा॑ । तमूर्द॑रं॒ न पृ॑णता॒ यवे॒नेन्द्रं॒ सोमे॑भि॒स्तदपो॑ वो अस्तु
adhvaryavo yo divyasya vasvo yaḥ pārthivasya kṣamyasya rājā tamūrdaraṃ na pṛṇatā yavenendraṃ somebhistadapo vo astu
The Adhvaryu who is lord of the divine and earthly, who is king of endurance — yet he did not fill the lofty face; let Indra by Soma be present, let that heat be yours.

अ॒स्मभ्यं॒ तद्व॑सो दा॒नाय॒ राधः॒ सम॑र्थयस्व ब॒हु ते॑ वस॒व्य॑म् । इन्द्र॒ यच्चि॒त्रं श्र॑व॒स्या अनु॒ द्यून्बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीराः॑
asmabhyaṃ tadvaso dānāya rādhaḥ samarthayasva bahu te vasavyam indra yaccitraṃ śravasyā anu dyūnbṛhadvadema vidathe suvīrāḥ
Grant us that wealth for gift, be generous and make powerful our Vasus. Indra, the wondrous, spread the famed great praise; the heroic ones proclaimed the mighty hymn.
