Great are Heaven and Earth, May they be benevolent to us; may Dawn and the Rivers not abandon us. With them be our support, protective and enduring, O life-giving guards.

yajñeyajñe sa martyo devānsaparyati yaḥ sumnairdīrghaśruttama āvivāsatyenān
The mortal who performs a proper sacrifice approaches the gods. He who dwells with the long-famed, lovely-minded ones brings those very beings hither.

viśveṣāmirajyavo devānāṃ vārmahaḥ viśve hi viśvamahaso viśve yajñeṣu yajñiyāḥ
All the immortal ones are the life of the gods, the warmth of all. Truly all are manifest in the all-daylight and all are sacrificers in the sacrifices.

te ghā rājāno amṛtasya mandrā aryamā mitro varuṇaḥ parijmā kadrudro nṛṇāṃ stuto marutaḥ pūṣaṇo bhagaḥ
They are the dear nectars of immortality: Mandrā, Aryamā, Mitra, Varuṇa, the shining ones. Kadrū, Rudra praised among men, Marut, Pūṣan, the blessed.

uta no naktamapāṃ vṛṣaṇvasū sūryāmāsā sadanāya sadhanyā sacā yatsādyeṣāmahirbudhneṣu budhnyaḥ
May night bring to us the shower of waters, the sun's rays, the settled household, the prosperous. May what is to be attained here among us be grasped by the wise in their minds.

May the divine Ashvins, lords of good fortune, bestow auspicious abodes; Mitra-Varuṇa may make them fit. This is the great realm; may it advance by the bow and by heroic strength.

uta no rudrā cinmṛḷatāmaśvinā viśve devāso rathaspatirbhagaḥ ṛbhurvāja ṛbhukṣaṇaḥ parijmā viśvavedasaḥ
May Rudra and the Ashvins be invoked; all gods, masters of chariots, be generous. The Rbhus, granters of wealth, famed in their deeds, are revered everywhere.

ṛbhurṛbhukṣā ṛbhurvidhato mada ā te harī jūjuvānasya vājinā duṣṭaraṃ yasya sāma cidṛdhagyajño na mānuṣaḥ
The Rbhus, workshop-workers, the Rbhus, arrangers—grant us strength; they carried away the steed of the generous one. Evil is he whose ritual and Soma are deceptive; he is not a true man.

kṛdhī no ahrayo deva savitaḥ sa ca stuṣe maghonām saho na indro vahnibhirnyeṣāṃ carṣaṇīnāṃ cakraṃ raśmiṃ na yoyuve
O gods, employ for us the recent day of Savitr; may he praise the liberal ones. Let Indra be with the fires, and the drives and circles of those chariots; may he not be absent from the ray.

aiṣu dyāvāpṛthivī dhātaṃ mahadasme vīreṣu viśvacarṣaṇi śravaḥ pṛkṣaṃ vājasya sātaye pṛkṣaṃ rāyota turvaṇe
Heaven and Earth sustain this great wealth for me, in heroes, in universal treasures of praise. May the praise of might be prolonged for the wealth, may the royal praise spread in the firmament.

etaṃ me stomaṃ tanā na sūrye dyutadyāmānaṃ vāvṛdhanta nṛṇām saṃvananaṃ nāśvyaṃ taṣṭevānapacyutam
This hymn of mine, beautified like the sun, shining in brilliance, increases not for men to be extinguished. It is an enduring invigoration that the gods protect and do not overturn.

vāvarta yeṣāṃ rāyā yuktaiṣāṃ hiraṇyayī nemadhitā na pauṃsyā vṛtheva viṣṭāntā
Of those whose ruling is, the wealth-holders are golden-chained. Laws established, not vainly broken, are the bounds of the pious.
Rigveda 10.093.14

pra tadduḥśīme pṛthavāne vene pra rāme vocamasure maghavatsu ye yuktvāya pañca śatāsmayu pathā viśrāvyeṣām
Therefore when the misled ones were angry at the earth, the gods addressed you with generous words. Those who, joined, brought five hundredfold paths are to be proclaimed widespread.

They have taken up here seventy-seven and seven more. Immediately appointed are these to you—immediately the spreader, immediately the wondrous, immediately the deceptive one.
