uta no devāvaśvinā śubhaspatī dhāmabhirmitrāvaruṇā uruṣyatām mahaḥ sa rāya eṣate'ti dhanveva duritā
May the divine Ashvins, lords of good fortune, bestow auspicious abodes; Mitra-Varuṇa may make them fit. This is the great realm; may it advance by the bow and by heroic strength.
And may the divine Aśvins, the lords of pure (water), and Mitra and Varuṇa protect us with theirbodies; he (whom they protect) acquires ample riches, (and passes) through misfortunes as (a traveller through)a desert.
And let the Asvins, Lords of splendour, set us free,- both Gods, and, with their Laws, Mitra and Varuna. Through woes, as over desert lands, he speeds to ample opulence.
