महि॑ द्यावापृथिवी भूतमु॒र्वी नारी॑ य॒ह्वी न रोद॑सी॒ सदं॑ नः । तेभि॑र्नः पातं॒ सह्य॑स ए॒भिर्नः॑ पातं शू॒षणि॑
mahi dyāvāpṛthivī bhūtamurvī nārī yahvī na rodasī sadaṃ naḥ tebhirnaḥ pātaṃ sahyasa ebhirnaḥ pātaṃ śūṣaṇi
Great are Heaven and Earth, May they be benevolent to us; may Dawn and the Rivers not abandon us. With them be our support, protective and enduring, O life-giving guards.
Heaven and earth, be great and spacious; mighty Rodasī, be ever with us like wives; with these (yourprotections), protect us from (the foe who is) stronger (than we), with these protect us in the might (of ourenemies).
MIGHTY are ye, and far-extended, Heaven and Earth: both Worlds are evermore to us like two young Dames. Guard us thereby from stronger foe; guard us hereby to give us strength.
