Bring forth for us, placed without delay, the abundant oblation by thousands and by hundreds. For your ancient draughts the gods come, for the gods the offerings. Verily, the sons are full of sweetness, steadfast in zeal and staunch in fury.

This Soma, filled for you among the mountains, touches the vaults; the bright garments reach the sheath; the bright garments reach. This Soma is portioned for lives among the gods. The Wind, yoked by command, goes forth as you order.

May the winds bearing you, with hundreds and thousands, lead the way for the offering; may the Wind bring the oblations for the hymn. You are the portion of the seasons, a beam with the Sun together. The Wind, rich and bright, moved with the carriers and shone.

Having yoked our chariot the steeds sped, going to the holy places; the Winds bore the oblations for the hymn. Drink ye the mead, O blind ones, the ancient draught is indeed beneficial for you. The Winds and Indra went with the shining one and came with the shining one.

May they, turning your thoughts, convey the pressing drops into the secret; may they not withhold the praisers. I shall drink of them here and go to them, O priests. Indra and Vayu, with the sons and the mountain folk, may you be joyful in might and prize.

These Soma‑juices for you were borne in the waters; borne by the channels, the Wind, bright, bore them. They sprinkled the holy places; the choirs purified the sacred halls. Young of the grain grew countless, Soma beyond decay.

The Wind exceedingly moved, come always where the kine low — there go, O Indra, go there. The swift‑struck seer beheld the clarified butter filled, yoked as at the chariot's axle, as Indra yoked it.

Here take this mead and bring the offering; the horses stand at the sacrificial post—may they be victorious for me. Together with the cattle a hundredfold are cooked; the grains shall not be taken from you, nor the kine taken.

These, O Wind, who are thine, the rivers within, may they preserve thee; the floods increase by the day. The bowmen with swift shafts, the carriers and the riders. Like the rays of the Sun they are hard to control; like hands they are hard to restrain.
