tvaṃ somāsi dhārayurmandra ojiṣṭho adhvare pavasva maṃhayadrayiḥ
You, Soma, sustain, strong in might, foremost on the way; purify and make excellent our wealth.

You are born to humankind, a giver, bearing wealth, contending; mighty Indra is your champion.

Indu (Soma) sought the shores and the fertile woods; Hari bestowed the hymn of praise.

Indra in ventures, in fame, in prosperity—may the Soma and the cows be powerful for the prize.

Bring here, O Indra, a hundred-killer wealth, cow-endowing, horse-bestowing; bear the Soma with thousands.

To the purifiers the Indra-bearing ones are swift, the puremost in horses; Indra moved them by drives.

kakuhaḥ somyo rasa indurindrāya pūrvyaḥ āyuḥ pavata āyave
Kakuh (a name) is Soma's juice for Indra of old; life for the purifier in the world of days.

Heroes draw near, with flowing strength, the purifier, sweet and pure; they utter songs with voices together.

May the unyoked, swift-footed Pusha bear for us the share; he ate the maidens for our sake.

This Soma, in the day of the tortoise, ate ghee not purifying honey; he ate the maidens for us.

This one took unto him, the born, ghee not purifying, the pure one; he ate the maidens for us.

You are the living word of poets, O Soma, with the stream of speech; you are like a jewel in the gods.

ā kalaśeṣu dhāvati śyeno varma vi gāhate abhi droṇā kanikradat
A falcon runs upon the pitchers and strikes them with its wing; it pierced (them) with a beak like a dart.

परि॒ प्र सो॑म ते॒ रसोऽस॑र्जि क॒लशे॑ सु॒तः । श्ये॒नो न त॒क्तो अ॑र्षति
pari pra soma te raso'sarji kalaśe sutaḥ śyeno na takto arṣati
May the Soma juice be poured around into the pitcher, plentiful and sweet; the falcon does not leave it behind.

Soma, restraining the winds, Indra becomes most intoxicated with honey-like sweetness.

This purified one goes forth from the desired place; he preserves the indestructible boon.

Whatever and wherever fear finds me here, O Pavaman, take that away.

Pavaman is today our purifier with holy cleansing; may he who is the priest purify us.

What you, O Agni, have worshipped as holy and set in the midst, by that Brahma purify us.

What you, O Agni, have worshipped as holy like a ritual, by that may Brahman with sacred rites purify us.

Both, O Savitar, with your sacred power and with Sava, purify me universally.

May Savitar, the god, with his threefold wishes and Soma abodes, rain upon you; Agni, with skilled ones, purify us.

May the divine peoples purify me; may the Vasus purify with insight; may all gods purify us; may Jātavedas purify us.

Press and sprinkle, O Soma, spread among all auspicious ones; best oblation to the gods.

They call the youthful, abundant invocation dear; hail to the lord carrying the fire.

alāyyasya paraśurnanāśa tamā pavasva deva soma ākhuṃ cideva deva soma
May the axe that splits not be laid down; O radiant god Soma, I call upon the Divine.

यः पा॑वमा॒नीर॒ध्येत्यृषि॑भिः॒ सम्भृ॑तं॒ रस॑म् । सर्वं॒ स पू॒तम॑श्नाति स्वदि॒तं मा॑त॒रिश्व॑ना
yaḥ pāvamānīradhyetyṛṣibhiḥ sambhṛtaṃ rasam sarvaṃ sa pūtamaśnāti svaditaṃ mātariśvanā
He who drinks the purifying, pressed juice gathered by sages consumes all pure; may the sire of mothers protect him.

पा॒व॒मा॒नीर्यो अ॒ध्येत्यृषि॑भिः॒ सम्भृ॑तं॒ रस॑म् । तस्मै॒ सर॑स्वती दुहे क्षी॒रं स॒र्पिर्मधू॑द॒कम्
pāvamānīryo adhyetyṛṣibhiḥ sambhṛtaṃ rasam tasmai sarasvatī duhe kṣīraṃ sarpirmadhūdakam
When the purified pressed juice is drunk by sages, let Sarasvatī give him milk, butter, honey, and clarified butter.
