इन्द्र॒मच्छ॑ सु॒ता इ॒मे वृष॑णं यन्तु॒ हर॑यः । श्रु॒ष्टी जा॒तास॒ इन्द॑वः स्व॒र्विदः॑
indramaccha sutā ime vṛṣaṇaṃ yantu harayaḥ śruṣṭī jātāsa indavaḥ svarvidaḥ
Bring Indra hither, bring these bulls, let the tawny steeds go forth; born are the Indra‑bands, the knowers of heaven.

अ॒यं भरा॑य सान॒सिरिन्द्रा॑य पवते सु॒तः । सोमो॒ जैत्र॑स्य चेतति॒ यथा॑ वि॒दे
ayaṃ bharāya sānasirindrāya pavate sutaḥ somo jaitrasya cetati yathā vide
This he bears as a burden — for Indra, a famed steed, well born; Soma thinks of victory as one who sees afar.

अ॒स्येदिन्द्रो॒ मदे॒ष्वा ग्रा॒भं गृ॑भ्णीत सान॒सिम् । वज्रं॑ च॒ वृष॑णं भर॒त्सम॑प्सु॒जित्
asyedindro madeṣvā grābhaṃ gṛbhṇīta sānasim vajraṃ ca vṛṣaṇaṃ bharatsamapsujit
To his rich ones Indra would take the grasp, seize the booty of the herds; he struck the thunderbolt, and the bulls were sung in the waters of battle.

प्र ध॑न्वा सोम॒ जागृ॑वि॒रिन्द्रा॑येन्दो॒ परि॑ स्रव । द्यु॒मन्तं॒ शुष्म॒मा भ॑रा स्व॒र्विद॑म्
pra dhanvā soma jāgṛvirindrāyendo pari srava dyumantaṃ śuṣmamā bharā svarvidam
With shafts the Soma‑wakeful Indra stirred, poured round streams of might; he made the radiant heaven full of sound.

इन्द्रा॑य॒ वृष॑णं॒ मदं॒ पव॑स्व वि॒श्वद॑र्शतः । स॒हस्र॑यामा पथि॒कृद्वि॑चक्ष॒णः
indrāya vṛṣaṇaṃ madaṃ pavasva viśvadarśataḥ sahasrayāmā pathikṛdvicakṣaṇaḥ
For Indra the bulls are might and pride; from the all‑seeing he bears them with a thousandfold path, the eye that surveys the way.

अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ गातु॒वित्त॑मो दे॒वेभ्यो॒ मधु॑मत्तमः । स॒हस्रं॑ याहि प॒थिभिः॒ कनि॑क्रदत्
asmabhyaṃ gātuvittamo devebhyo madhumattamaḥ sahasraṃ yāhi pathibhiḥ kanikradat
Best of singers bring to us, O gods, the sweetest of meads; a thousand be thou on the paths, he scattered riches.

पव॑स्व दे॒ववी॑तय॒ इन्दो॒ धारा॑भि॒रोज॑सा । आ क॒लशं॒ मधु॑मान्सोम नः सदः
pavasva devavītaya indo dhārābhirojasā ā kalaśaṃ madhumānsoma naḥ sadaḥ
For Indra the streams flow with might, the godly ones pour out strength; bring the sacred draught of soma to us for eternalness.

tava drapsā udapruta indraṃ madāya vāvṛdhuḥ tvāṃ devāso amṛtāya kaṃ papuḥ
Thy draught made Indra swell with might; the gods drank thee for immortality — who then opposed thee?

आ नः॑ सुतास इन्दवः पुना॒ना धा॑वता र॒यिम् । वृ॒ष्टिद्या॑वो रीत्यापः स्व॒र्विदः॑
ā naḥ sutāsa indavaḥ punānā dhāvatā rayim vṛṣṭidyāvo rītyāpaḥ svarvidaḥ
Bring to us the Indra‑bands, the springing runnels that enrich the land; the rains and the streams keep order, the knowers of heaven.

सोमः॑ पुना॒न ऊ॒र्मिणाव्यो॒ वारं॒ वि धा॑वति । अग्रे॑ वा॒चः पव॑मानः॒ कनि॑क्रदत्
somaḥ punāna ūrmiṇāvyo vāraṃ vi dhāvati agre vācaḥ pavamānaḥ kanikradat
Soma, returning in waves, carries the ward; the brilliant foremost voice set forth and scattered among them.

धी॒भिर्हि॑न्वन्ति वा॒जिनं॒ वने॒ क्रीळ॑न्त॒मत्य॑विम् । अ॒भि त्रि॑पृ॒ष्ठं म॒तयः॒ सम॑स्वरन्
dhībhirhinvanti vājinaṃ vane krīḷantamatyavim abhi tripṛṣṭhaṃ matayaḥ samasvaran
With hymns the strengthenings overcome the strong in the wood, playing with unconquered might; the wise praised the thrice‑smote one in equal voice.

अस॑र्जि क॒लशा॑ँ अ॒भि मी॒ळ्हे सप्ति॒र्न वा॑ज॒युः । पु॒ना॒नो वाचं॑ ज॒नय॑न्नसिष्यदत्
asarji kalaśām̐ abhi mīḷhe saptirna vājayuḥ punāno vācaṃ janayannasiṣyadat
He poured the jars, he mixed the sevenfold strength in the draught, the vital breath; again he generated speech and left behind teaching.

पव॑ते हर्य॒तो हरि॒रति॒ ह्वरां॑सि॒ रंह्या॑ । अ॒भ्यर्ष॑न्स्तो॒तृभ्यो॑ वी॒रव॒द्यशः॑
pavate haryato harirati hvarāṃsi raṃhyā abhyarṣanstotṛbhyo vīravadyaśaḥ
The pourer from Harya moved the hymn, the rapt ritual and the oblation‑singers sprang up; they advanced praising the heroes with glory.

अ॒या प॑वस्व देव॒युर्मधो॒र्धारा॑ असृक्षत । रेभ॑न्प॒वित्रं॒ पर्ये॑षि वि॒श्वतः॑
ayā pavasva devayurmadhordhārā asṛkṣata rebhanpavitraṃ paryeṣi viśvataḥ
This sacred draught of the gods of strength streamed from the midst of the mead; he sought the pure libation throughout the world.
