या इ॑न्द्र॒ भुज॒ आभ॑रः॒ स्व॑र्वा॒ँ असु॑रेभ्यः । स्तो॒तार॒मिन्म॑घवन्नस्य वर्धय॒ ये च॒ त्वे वृ॒क्तब॑र्हिषः
yā indra bhuja ābharaḥ svarvām̐ asurebhyaḥ stotāraminmaghavannasya vardhaya ye ca tve vṛktabarhiṣaḥ
That Indra who bears the mighty arm, the glorious one among gods, from the Asuras — may the giver of praise, Maghavan, increase our strength, and those who are with you with the lifted sacred spoons.

यमि॑न्द्र दधि॒षे त्वमश्वं॒ गां भा॒गमव्य॑यम् । यज॑माने सुन्व॒ति दक्षि॑णावति॒ तस्मि॒न्तं धे॑हि॒ मा प॒णौ
yamindra dadhiṣe tvamaśvaṃ gāṃ bhāgamavyayam yajamāne sunvati dakṣiṇāvati tasmintaṃ dhehi mā paṇau
Indra, thou who art set on the chariot, take the steadfast horse, the undying share. When the sacrifice is offered, place the right hand; in that act do not be stingy.

य इ॑न्द्र॒ सस्त्य॑व्र॒तो॑ऽनु॒ष्वाप॒मदे॑वयुः । स्वैः ष एवै॑र्मुमुर॒त्पोष्यं॑ र॒यिं स॑नु॒तर्धे॑हि॒ तं ततः॑
ya indra sastyavrato'nuṣvāpamadevayuḥ svaiḥ ṣa evairmumuratpoṣyaṃ rayiṃ sanutardhehi taṃ tataḥ
He whom Indra, the strong, with unbroken vow, made present to the waters — by his own rites protect and prosper the realm; sustain the wealth, then give that man his share.

यच्छ॒क्रासि॑ परा॒वति॒ यद॑र्वा॒वति॑ वृत्रहन् । अत॑स्त्वा गी॒र्भिर्द्यु॒गदि॑न्द्र के॒शिभिः॑ सु॒तावा॒ँ आ वि॑वासति
yacchakrāsi parāvati yadarvāvati vṛtrahan atastvā gīrbhirdyugadindra keśibhiḥ sutāvām̐ ā vivāsati
What you have made supreme, what with mighty slaughter you struck down (the Vrtra) — therefore your songs have shone forth, Indra, with locks like streams, the assemblies rejoiced.

यद्वासि॑ रोच॒ने दि॒वः स॑मु॒द्रस्याधि॑ वि॒ष्टपि॑ । यत्पार्थि॑वे॒ सद॑ने वृत्रहन्तम॒ यद॒न्तरि॑क्ष॒ आ ग॑हि
yadvāsi rocane divaḥ samudrasyādhi viṣṭapi yatpārthive sadane vṛtrahantama yadantarikṣa ā gahi
Where you shone with the light of heaven, where you spread over the sea, where you made dwelling on earth and struck down the Vrtra in the mid-air.

स नः॒ सोमे॑षु सोमपाः सु॒तेषु॑ शवसस्पते । मा॒दय॑स्व॒ राध॑सा सू॒नृता॑व॒तेन्द्र॑ रा॒या परी॑णसा
sa naḥ someṣu somapāḥ suteṣu śavasaspate mādayasva rādhasā sūnṛtāvatendra rāyā parīṇasā
Be to us the Soma-drinkers' friend among the obnoxious, the lord of rites. Gladden us with generous gifts, O Indra, with your wealth and royal favor.

मा न॑ इन्द्र॒ परा॑ वृण॒ग्भवा॑ नः सध॒माद्यः॑ । त्वं न॑ ऊ॒ती त्वमिन्न॒ आप्यं॒ मा न॑ इन्द्र॒ परा॑ वृणक्
mā na indra parā vṛṇagbhavā naḥ sadhamādyaḥ tvaṃ na ūtī tvaminna āpyaṃ mā na indra parā vṛṇak
Do not choose another beyond us, Indra; be not rigid in bestowing. You do not uplift from above; choose not another beyond us, O Indra.

अ॒स्मे इ॑न्द्र॒ सचा॑ सु॒ते नि ष॑दा पी॒तये॒ मधु॑ । कृ॒धी ज॑रि॒त्रे म॑घव॒न्नवो॑ म॒हद॒स्मे इ॑न्द्र॒ सचा॑ सु॒ते
asme indra sacā sute ni ṣadā pītaye madhu kṛdhī jaritre maghavannavo mahadasme indra sacā sute
Indra is with me, friend among the sons; sit to drink the honey. Do thou, Maghavan, perform the rite with the ladles; bestow upon us great gifts, Indra, with those who are with thee.

न त्वा॑ दे॒वास॑ आशत॒ न मर्त्या॑सो अद्रिवः । विश्वा॑ जा॒तानि॒ शव॑साभि॒भूर॑सि॒ न त्वा॑ दे॒वास॑ आशत
na tvā devāsa āśata na martyāso adrivaḥ viśvā jātāni śavasābhibhūrasi na tvā devāsa āśata
The gods did not depend on you, nor on mortal men as the mountain. All kinds of beings were born; you covered them, you did not rely on the gods.

विश्वाः॒ पृत॑ना अभि॒भूत॑रं॒ नरं॑ स॒जूस्त॑तक्षु॒रिन्द्रं॑ जज॒नुश्च॑ रा॒जसे॑ । क्रत्वा॒ वरि॑ष्ठं॒ वर॑ आ॒मुरि॑मु॒तोग्रमोजि॑ष्ठं त॒वसं॑ तर॒स्विन॑म्
viśvāḥ pṛtanā abhibhūtaraṃ naraṃ sajūstatakṣurindraṃ jajanuśca rājase kratvā variṣṭhaṃ vara āmurimutogramojiṣṭhaṃ tavasaṃ tarasvinam
All the worlds, with heroic might, encompassed the man; they fashioned a sharp Indra, and he was born as king. Doing the supreme deed, the greatest, they granted thee strength, O bestower, the foremost of the vigorous.

समीं॑ रे॒भासो॑ अस्वर॒न्निन्द्रं॒ सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑ । स्व॑र्पतिं॒ यदीं॑ वृ॒धे धृ॒तव्र॑तो॒ ह्योज॑सा॒ समू॒तिभिः॑
samīṃ rebhāso asvarannindraṃ somasya pītaye svarpatiṃ yadīṃ vṛdhe dhṛtavrato hyojasā samūtibhiḥ
May the shining one, resplendent like a steed, bring Indra and the juice of Soma for drinking; may he, strong in vows and mighty in force, grant wealth with gathered powers.

ने॒मिं न॑मन्ति॒ चक्ष॑सा मे॒षं विप्रा॑ अभि॒स्वरा॑ । सु॒दी॒तयो॑ वो अ॒द्रुहोऽपि॒ कर्णे॑ तर॒स्विनः॒ समृक्व॑भिः
nemiṃ namanti cakṣasā meṣaṃ viprā abhisvarā sudītayo vo adruho'pi karṇe tarasvinaḥ samṛkvabhiḥ
The seers salute the steer with their eyes, the powerful priests chant its praise; your bright ones, though climbing the height, with horned steeds emblazon the ear with banners.

तमिन्द्रं॑ जोहवीमि म॒घवा॑नमु॒ग्रं स॒त्रा दधा॑न॒मप्र॑तिष्कुतं॒ शवां॑सि । मंहि॑ष्ठो गी॒र्भिरा च॑ य॒ज्ञियो॑ व॒वर्त॑द्रा॒ये नो॒ विश्वा॑ सु॒पथा॑ कृणोतु व॒ज्री
tamindraṃ johavīmi maghavānamugraṃ satrā dadhānamapratiṣkutaṃ śavāṃsi maṃhiṣṭho gīrbhirā ca yajñiyo vavartadrāye no viśvā supathā kṛṇotu vajrī
I invoked that fierce Indra, the lord of riches, who sets the hostile band ablaze and does not relent; let him, bestower of spoils by songs and sacrifice, turn all true paths to our might and make the world strong for us.

त्वं पुर॑ इन्द्र चि॒किदे॑ना॒ व्योज॑सा शविष्ठ शक्र नाश॒यध्यै॑ । त्वद्विश्वा॑नि॒ भुव॑नानि वज्रि॒न्द्यावा॑ रेजेते पृथि॒वी च॑ भी॒षा
tvaṃ pura indra cikidenā vyojasā śaviṣṭha śakra nāśayadhyai tvadviśvāni bhuvanāni vajrindyāvā rejete pṛthivī ca bhīṣā
You, Indra, in the citadel with your victorious might, shatter the hosts of the foes, O Shakra; by you all the worlds are armored with thunderbolts, the earth and the fearful firmament are upheld.

तन्म॑ ऋ॒तमि॑न्द्र शूर चित्र पात्व॒पो न व॑ज्रिन्दुरि॒ताति॑ पर्षि॒ भूरि॑ । क॒दा न॑ इन्द्र रा॒य आ द॑शस्येर्वि॒श्वप्स्न्य॑स्य स्पृह॒याय्य॑स्य राजन्
tanma ṛtamindra śūra citra pātvapo na vajrinduritāti parṣi bhūri kadā na indra rāya ā daśasyerviśvapsnyasya spṛhayāyyasya rājan
That which is righteous, O brave Indra, the variegated protector, the thunderbolt does not tear away nor does it fall into ruin; when will Indra, king, grant the realm to the desiring one who seeks the world?
