yacchakrāsi parāvati yadarvāvati vṛtrahan atastvā gīrbhirdyugadindra keśibhiḥ sutāvām̐ ā vivāsati
What you have made supreme, what with mighty slaughter you struck down (the Vrtra) — therefore your songs have shone forth, Indra, with locks like streams, the assemblies rejoiced.
Whether, Śakra, you are in the far-distant region, or whether, slayer of Vṛtra, you are in the lower-- thesacrificeer longs to being you, Indra, from thence by his hymns as by heaven-going steeds.
Repel all enmities and keep thern far away: let all win treasure for their own. Even among Sistas are the stalks that make thee glad, where thou with Soma satest thee.
