स्वा॒दोर॑भक्षि॒ वय॑सः सुमे॒धाः स्वा॒ध्यो॑ वरिवो॒वित्त॑रस्य । विश्वे॒ यं दे॒वा उ॒त मर्त्या॑सो॒ मधु॑ ब्रु॒वन्तो॑ अ॒भि सं॒चर॑न्ति
svādorabhakṣi vayasaḥ sumedhāḥ svādhyo varivovittarasya viśve yaṃ devā uta martyāso madhu bruvanto abhi saṃcaranti
Drink the sweet soma, youths of insight, the learned, ye singers of sacred lore. All that which the gods and mortals call honey, they wander around it speaking praise.

अ॒न्तश्च॒ प्रागा॒ अदि॑तिर्भवास्यवया॒ता हर॑सो॒ दैव्य॑स्य । इन्द॒विन्द्र॑स्य स॒ख्यं जु॑षा॒णः श्रौष्टी॑व॒ धुर॒मनु॑ रा॒य ऋ॑ध्याः
antaśca prāgā aditirbhavāsyavayātā haraso daivyasya indavindrasya sakhyaṃ juṣāṇaḥ śrauṣṭīva dhuramanu rāya ṛdhyāḥ
Before and within was Aditi, bringer of progeny, the joyous divine one. Indra’s friendship in the beloved one was chosen; the charioteer heard, O kings, the prosperous ones.

अपा॑म॒ सोम॑म॒मृता॑ अभू॒माग॑न्म॒ ज्योति॒रवि॑दाम दे॒वान् । किं नू॒नम॒स्मान्कृ॑णव॒दरा॑तिः॒ किमु॑ धू॒र्तिर॑मृत॒ मर्त्य॑स्य
apāma somamamṛtā abhūmāganma jyotiravidāma devān kiṃ nūnamasmānkṛṇavadarātiḥ kimu dhūrtiramṛta martyasya
The soma became immortal in the waters, the light of the seers for the gods. Is there not bounty for us? Or deceit for mortals?

शं नो॑ भव हृ॒द आ पी॒त इ॑न्दो पि॒तेव॑ सोम सू॒नवे॑ सु॒शेवः॑ । सखे॑व॒ सख्य॑ उरुशंस॒ धीरः॒ प्र ण॒ आयु॑र्जी॒वसे॑ सोम तारीः
śaṃ no bhava hṛda ā pīta indo piteva soma sūnave suśevaḥ sakheva sakhya uruśaṃsa dhīraḥ pra ṇa āyurjīvase soma tārīḥ
May we be auspicious, may Indra pour forth in our hearts like the father pours soma; friendly, gracious, mighty, resolute: may Soma grant long life and keep us alive.

इ॒मे मा॑ पी॒ता य॒शस॑ उरु॒ष्यवो॒ रथं॒ न गावः॒ सम॑नाह॒ पर्व॑सु । ते मा॑ रक्षन्तु वि॒स्रस॑श्च॒रित्रा॑दु॒त मा॒ स्रामा॑द्यवय॒न्त्विन्द॑वः
ime mā pītā yaśasa uruṣyavo rathaṃ na gāvaḥ samanāha parvasu te mā rakṣantu visrasaścaritrāduta mā srāmādyavayantvindavaḥ
May these fathers, O Soma, who are renowned and wide-chested, protect our chariot and our cows and the gatherings on the hills. May they guard us, dispersing foes and not allowing tiredness to afflict the people.

अ॒ग्निं न मा॑ मथि॒तं सं दि॑दीपः॒ प्र च॑क्षय कृणु॒हि वस्य॑सो नः । अथा॒ हि ते॒ मद॒ आ सो॑म॒ मन्ये॑ रे॒वाँ इ॑व॒ प्र च॑रा पु॒ष्टिमच्छ॑
agniṃ na mā mathitaṃ saṃ didīpaḥ pra cakṣaya kṛṇuhi vasyaso naḥ athā hi te mada ā soma manye revām̐ iva pra carā puṣṭimaccha
Do not let us extinguish Agni, keep him burning, kindle him who is radiant for our wealth. For I think that you, O Soma, are like Soma—bring forth abundant nourishment for us.

इ॒षि॒रेण॑ ते॒ मन॑सा सु॒तस्य॑ भक्षी॒महि॒ पित्र्य॑स्येव रा॒यः । सोम॑ राज॒न्प्र ण॒ आयूं॑षि तारी॒रहा॑नीव॒ सूर्यो॑ वास॒राणि॑
iṣireṇa te manasā sutasya bhakṣīmahi pitryasyeva rāyaḥ soma rājanpra ṇa āyūṃṣi tārīrahānīva sūryo vāsarāṇi
With sharp mind may we consume the offspring of your strength with the father's share—O Soma, king—so that he, like the sun, may prolong life for the body and days.

सोम॑ राजन्मृ॒ळया॑ नः स्व॒स्ति तव॑ स्मसि व्र॒त्या॒३॒॑स्तस्य॑ विद्धि । अल॑र्ति॒ दक्ष॑ उ॒त म॒न्युरि॑न्दो॒ मा नो॑ अ॒र्यो अ॑नुका॒मं परा॑ दाः
soma rājanmṛḷayā naḥ svasti tava smasi vratyā3stasya viddhi alarti dakṣa uta manyurindo mā no aryo anukāmaṃ parā dāḥ
O Soma-king, may your gentle touch be auspicious for us; know the vow that rests on you. Daksha and many Angiris consider you not hostile; may we be favored by those who follow the noble.

त्वं हि न॑स्त॒न्वः॑ सोम गो॒पा गात्रे॑गात्रे निष॒सत्था॑ नृ॒चक्षाः॑ । यत्ते॑ व॒यं प्र॑मि॒नाम॑ व्र॒तानि॒ स नो॑ मृळ सुष॒खा दे॑व॒ वस्यः॑
tvaṃ hi nastanvaḥ soma gopā gātregātre niṣasatthā nṛcakṣāḥ yatte vayaṃ pramināma vratāni sa no mṛḷa suṣakhā deva vasyaḥ
You, Soma, in our bodies are the protector of cows, seat by seat; men looked upon you. Whatever vows we have sown for you, may you, O nurturer, grant us joy and abundant wealth.

ऋ॒दू॒दरे॑ण॒ सख्या॑ सचेय॒ यो मा॒ न रिष्ये॑द्धर्यश्व पी॒तः । अ॒यं यः सोमो॒ न्यधा॑य्य॒स्मे तस्मा॒ इन्द्रं॑ प्र॒तिर॑मे॒म्यायुः॑
ṛdūdareṇa sakhyā saceya yo mā na riṣyeddharyaśva pītaḥ ayaṃ yaḥ somo nyadhāyyasme tasmā indraṃ pratiramemyāyuḥ
With a mighty belly, companion of the herd, do not refuse me, O strong one; O bearer of horses, he who pours Soma for me—therefore to that Indra I offer this measured life.

अप॒ त्या अ॑स्थु॒रनि॑रा॒ अमी॑वा॒ निर॑त्रस॒न्तमि॑षीची॒रभै॑षुः । आ सोमो॑ अ॒स्माँ अ॑रुह॒द्विहा॑या॒ अग॑न्म॒ यत्र॑ प्रति॒रन्त॒ आयुः॑
apa tyā asthuranirā amīvā niratrasantamiṣīcīrabhaiṣuḥ ā somo asmām̐ aruhadvihāyā aganma yatra pratiranta āyuḥ
May offspring be firm as mountain-pillars, like an enduring river—O Soma, mount up upon us; come to the place of fire where life is warded and abide.

यो न॒ इन्दुः॑ पितरो हृ॒त्सु पी॒तोऽम॑र्त्यो॒ मर्त्या॑ँ आवि॒वेश॑ । तस्मै॒ सोमा॑य ह॒विषा॑ विधेम मृळी॒के अ॑स्य सुम॒तौ स्या॑म
yo na induḥ pitaro hṛtsu pīto'martyo martyām̐ āviveśa tasmai somāya haviṣā vidhema mṛḷīke asya sumatau syāma
He who is not Indra, fathers drank Soma in their hearts; the immortal entered the mortal. For that Soma we should offer oblations; may we be thoughtful in his good counsel.

त्वं सो॑म पि॒तृभिः॑ संविदा॒नोऽनु॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी आ त॑तन्थ । तस्मै॑ त इन्दो ह॒विषा॑ विधेम व॒यं स्या॑म॒ पत॑यो रयी॒णाम्
tvaṃ soma pitṛbhiḥ saṃvidāno'nu dyāvāpṛthivī ā tatantha tasmai ta indo haviṣā vidhema vayaṃ syāma patayo rayīṇām
You, Soma, by the fathers' counsels, moved the heavens and earth apart. For that Indra we shall offer oblation; we shall be lords and possessors of wealth.

त्राता॑रो देवा॒ अधि॑ वोचता नो॒ मा नो॑ नि॒द्रा ई॑शत॒ मोत जल्पिः॑ । व॒यं सोम॑स्य वि॒श्वह॑ प्रि॒यासः॑ सु॒वीरा॑सो वि॒दथ॒मा व॑देम
trātāro devā adhi vocatā no mā no nidrā īśata mota jalpiḥ vayaṃ somasya viśvaha priyāsaḥ suvīrāso vidathamā vadema
Protectors, O gods, speak over us: let not sleep seize us, nor chatter nor falsehood. We are the universal lovers of Soma, valiant-spirited; may we speak the wide truth.

त्वं नः॑ सोम वि॒श्वतो॑ वयो॒धास्त्वं स्व॒र्विदा वि॑शा नृ॒चक्षाः॑ । त्वं न॑ इन्द ऊ॒तिभिः॑ स॒जोषाः॑ पा॒हि प॒श्चाता॑दु॒त वा॑ पु॒रस्ता॑त्
tvaṃ naḥ soma viśvato vayodhāstvaṃ svarvidā viśā nṛcakṣāḥ tvaṃ na inda ūtibhiḥ sajoṣāḥ pāhi paścātāduta vā purastāt
You, Soma, are the warrior from all sides; you know the heavens and are visible to men. When invoked by hymns, protect from behind and from before.
