ime mā pītā yaśasa uruṣyavo rathaṃ na gāvaḥ samanāha parvasu te mā rakṣantu visrasaścaritrāduta mā srāmādyavayantvindavaḥ
May these fathers, O Soma, who are renowned and wide-chested, protect our chariot and our cows and the gatherings on the hills. May they guard us, dispersing foes and not allowing tiredness to afflict the people.
May these glory-conferring protecting Soma-streams knit together my joints as cows draw together achariot falling in pieces; may they keep us from a loosely-knit worship; may they deliver me from sickness.
These glorious drops that give me freedom have I drunk. Closely they knit my joints as straps secure a car. Let them protect my foot from slipping on the way: yea, let the drops I drink preserve me from disease.
