अ॒स्मा ऊ॒ षु प्रभू॑तये॒ वरु॑णाय म॒रुद्भ्योऽर्चा॑ वि॒दुष्ट॑रेभ्यः । यो धी॒ता मानु॑षाणां प॒श्वो गा इ॑व॒ रक्ष॑ति॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
asmā ū ṣu prabhūtaye varuṇāya marudbhyo'rcā viduṣṭarebhyaḥ yo dhītā mānuṣāṇāṃ paśvo gā iva rakṣati nabhantāmanyake same
May he be worshipped by us for abundant protection, by Varuna and the Maruts, by those versed in rites; he who, like a herdsman, guards the cattle of men—may his mind protect many others in heaven.

तमू॒ षु स॑म॒ना गि॒रा पि॑तॄ॒णां च॒ मन्म॑भिः । ना॒भा॒कस्य॒ प्रश॑स्तिभि॒र्यः सिन्धू॑ना॒मुपो॑द॒ये स॒प्तस्व॑सा॒ स म॑ध्य॒मो नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
tamū ṣu samanā girā pitṝṇāṃ ca manmabhiḥ nābhākasya praśastibhiryaḥ sindhūnāmupodaye saptasvasā sa madhyamo nabhantāmanyake same
May that word, together with the clans of the fathers, be propitious; by praised deeds and the rising of the floods, with sevenfold breath as middle swift one, may he make many others equal in heaven.

स क्षपः॒ परि॑ षस्वजे॒ न्यु१॒॑स्रो मा॒यया॑ दधे॒ स विश्वं॒ परि॑ दर्श॒तः । तस्य॒ वेनी॒रनु॑ व्र॒तमु॒षस्ति॒स्रो अ॑वर्धय॒न्नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
sa kṣapaḥ pari ṣasvaje nyu1sro māyayā dadhe sa viśvaṃ pari darśataḥ tasya venīranu vratamuṣastisro avardhayannabhantāmanyake same
He, the chariot-maker, encompassed all by enchanting wisdom, setting the world in view; his flute-like ordinance followed the vow—threefold he grew and made many others equal in heaven.

यः क॒कुभो॑ निधार॒यः पृ॑थि॒व्यामधि॑ दर्श॒तः । स माता॑ पू॒र्व्यं प॒दं तद्वरु॑णस्य॒ सप्त्यं॒ स हि गो॒पा इ॒वेर्यो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
yaḥ kakubho nidhārayaḥ pṛthivyāmadhi darśataḥ sa mātā pūrvyaṃ padaṃ tadvaruṇasya saptyaṃ sa hi gopā iveryo nabhantāmanyake same
He who placed a firm support in the earth and looked down: he made the earlier footstep of Varuna; he is indeed like a herdsman—may he make many others equal in heaven.

यो ध॒र्ता भुव॑नानां॒ य उ॒स्राणा॑मपी॒च्या॒३॒॑ वेद॒ नामा॑नि॒ गुह्या॑ । स क॒विः काव्या॑ पु॒रु रू॒पं द्यौरि॑व पुष्यति॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
yo dhartā bhuvanānāṃ ya usrāṇāmapīcyā3 veda nāmāni guhyā sa kaviḥ kāvyā puru rūpaṃ dyauriva puṣyati nabhantāmanyake same
He who sustains the worlds and knows the secret names of torrents—he is the seer who, like the nurturing heaven, fosters the manifold forms; may he make many others equal in heaven.

यस्मि॒न्विश्वा॑नि॒ काव्या॑ च॒क्रे नाभि॑रिव श्रि॒ता । त्रि॒तं जू॒ती स॑पर्यत व्र॒जे गावो॒ न सं॒युजे॑ यु॒जे अश्वा॑ँ अयुक्षत॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
yasminviśvāni kāvyā cakre nābhiriva śritā tritaṃ jūtī saparyata vraje gāvo na saṃyuje yuje aśvām̐ ayukṣata nabhantāmanyake same
In whom all songs were fashioned and set like a navel adorned; threefold the bond went round, the cows grazed not yoked, horses remained unyoked—may he make many others equal in heaven.

य आ॒स्वत्क॑ आ॒शये॒ विश्वा॑ जा॒तान्ये॑षाम् । परि॒ धामा॑नि॒ मर्मृ॑श॒द्वरु॑णस्य पु॒रो गये॒ विश्वे॑ दे॒वा अनु॑ व्र॒तं नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
ya āsvatka āśaye viśvā jātānyeṣām pari dhāmāni marmṛśadvaruṇasya puro gaye viśve devā anu vrataṃ nabhantāmanyake same
Whoever nurtured and desired all creatures, who surveyed the abodes of Varuna’s fortress—gods went before his vow through all ways; may he make many others equal in heaven.

स स॑मु॒द्रो अ॑पी॒च्य॑स्तु॒रो द्यामि॑व रोहति॒ नि यदा॑सु॒ यजु॑र्द॒धे । स मा॒या अ॒र्चिना॑ प॒दास्तृ॑णा॒न्नाक॒मारु॑ह॒न्नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
sa samudro apīcyasturo dyāmiva rohati ni yadāsu yajurdadhe sa māyā arcinā padāstṛṇānnākamāruhannabhantāmanyake same
He, like the ocean surging, rose as sky when the sacrificial hymn was placed; by wondrous rite he made threefold steps and mounted the peaks—may he make many others equal in heaven.

यस्य॑ श्वे॒ता वि॑चक्ष॒णा ति॒स्रो भूमी॑रधिक्षि॒तः । त्रिरुत्त॑राणि प॒प्रतु॒र्वरु॑णस्य ध्रु॒वं सदः॒ स स॑प्ता॒नामि॑रज्यति॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
yasya śvetā vicakṣaṇā tisro bhūmīradhikṣitaḥ triruttarāṇi papraturvaruṇasya dhruvaṃ sadaḥ sa saptānāmirajyati nabhantāmanyake same
His three white-eyed daughters rule the lands; the three northward they brought forth: steadfastly Varuna’s seven-fold seat ever flows—may he make many others equal in heaven.

यः श्वे॒ताँ अधि॑निर्णिजश्च॒क्रे कृ॒ष्णाँ अनु॑ व्र॒ता । स धाम॑ पू॒र्व्यं म॑मे॒ यः स्क॒म्भेन॒ वि रोद॑सी अ॒जो न द्यामधा॑रय॒न्नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
yaḥ śvetām̐ adhinirṇijaścakre kṛṣṇām̐ anu vratā sa dhāma pūrvyaṃ mame yaḥ skambhena vi rodasī ajo na dyāmadhārayannabhantāmanyake same
He who made the white ones foremost and followed with the black, he established the earlier abode and the mighty support—like the unaging kid he did not let heaven fall; may he make many others equal in heaven.
