स स॑मु॒द्रो अ॑पी॒च्य॑स्तु॒रो द्यामि॑व रोहति॒ नि यदा॑सु॒ यजु॑र्द॒धे । स मा॒या अ॒र्चिना॑ प॒दास्तृ॑णा॒न्नाक॒मारु॑ह॒न्नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
sa samudro apīcyasturo dyāmiva rohati ni yadāsu yajurdadhe sa māyā arcinā padāstṛṇānnākamāruhannabhantāmanyake same
He, like the ocean surging, rose as sky when the sacrificial hymn was placed; by wondrous rite he made threefold steps and mounted the peaks—may he make many others equal in heaven.
He is the hidden ocean; swift he mounts (the heaven) as (the sun) the sky; when he has plural ced thesacrifice in those (regions of the firmament), he demolishes with his brilliant radiance the devices (of the asuras);he ascends to heaven; may all our adversaries perish.
He is an Ocean far-removed, yet through the heaven to him ascends the worship which these realms possess. With his bright foot he overthrew their magic, and went up to heaven.
