इन्द्रा॑ग्नी यु॒वं सु नः॒ सह॑न्ता॒ दास॑थो र॒यिम् । येन॑ दृ॒ळ्हा स॒मत्स्वा वी॒ळु चि॑त्साहिषी॒मह्य॒ग्निर्वने॑व॒ वात॒ इन्नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
indrāgnī yuvaṃ su naḥ sahantā dāsatho rayim yena dṛḷhā samatsvā vīḷu citsāhiṣīmahyagnirvaneva vāta innabhantāmanyake same
Indra and Agni, youthful bearers of strength, support us, give us wealth. By which the strong ones sit together; Agni in the forest and Vāta the wind attend to many heavens alike.

न॒हि वां॑ व॒व्रया॑म॒हेऽथेन्द्र॒मिद्य॑जामहे॒ शवि॑ष्ठं नृ॒णां नर॑म् । स नः॑ क॒दा चि॒दर्व॑ता॒ गम॒दा वाज॑सातये॒ गम॒दा मे॒धसा॑तये॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
nahi vāṃ vavrayāmahe'thendramidyajāmahe śaviṣṭhaṃ nṛṇāṃ naram sa naḥ kadā cidarvatā gamadā vājasātaye gamadā medhasātaye nabhantāmanyake same
We do not worship you as grasping; today we worship Indra’s best man among men. May he sometimes come with valor, bringing wealth, with keen wisdom—heavenward to many alike.

ता हि मध्यं॒ भरा॑णामिन्द्रा॒ग्नी अ॑धिक्षि॒तः । ता उ॑ कवित्व॒ना क॒वी पृ॒च्छ्यमा॑ना सखीय॒ते सं धी॒तम॑श्नुतं नरा॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
tā hi madhyaṃ bharāṇāmindrāgnī adhikṣitaḥ tā u kavitvanā kavī pṛcchyamānā sakhīyate saṃ dhītamaśnutaṃ narā nabhantāmanyake same
They indeed sit in the midst, Indra and Agni, the lords of gifts. Poets, skilled in speech, ask them; companions, having settled, partake of the appointed meal—men abide in many heavens alike.

अ॒भ्य॑र्च नभाक॒वदि॑न्द्रा॒ग्नी य॒जसा॑ गि॒रा । ययो॒र्विश्व॑मि॒दं जग॑दि॒यं द्यौः पृ॑थि॒वी म॒ह्यु१॒॑पस्थे॑ बिभृ॒तो वसु॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
abhyarca nabhākavadindrāgnī yajasā girā yayorviśvamidaṃ jagadiyaṃ dyauḥ pṛthivī mahyu1pasthe bibhṛto vasu nabhantāmanyake same
Indra and Agni, worshipped by heaven-poets, with their praise sustain this entire world—heaven and earth, upholding the riches they bear—to many heavens alike.

प्र ब्रह्मा॑णि नभाक॒वदि॑न्द्रा॒ग्निभ्या॑मिरज्यत । या स॒प्तबु॑ध्नमर्ण॒वं जि॒ह्मबा॑रमपोर्णु॒त इन्द्र॒ ईशा॑न॒ ओज॑सा॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
pra brahmāṇi nabhākavadindrāgnibhyāmirajyata yā saptabudhnamarṇavaṃ jihmabāramaporṇuta indra īśāna ojasā nabhantāmanyake same
They invoked the heavens’ poets, Indra and Agni, as creators. When the seven during birth filled the sea, Indra, lord, with sovereign vigor, bestowed might—to many heavens alike.

अपि॑ वृश्च पुराण॒वद्व्र॒तते॑रिव गुष्पि॒तमोजो॑ दा॒सस्य॑ दम्भय । व॒यं तद॑स्य॒ सम्भृ॑तं॒ वस्विन्द्रे॑ण॒ वि भ॑जेमहि॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
api vṛśca purāṇavadvratateriva guṣpitamojo dāsasya dambhaya vayaṃ tadasya sambhṛtaṃ vasvindreṇa vi bhajemahi nabhantāmanyake same
Even if the ancient man boasts of his might as of old, we, sharing in Indra’s wealth, shall partake of what is his—many heavens alike.

यदि॑न्द्रा॒ग्नी जना॑ इ॒मे वि॒ह्वय॑न्ते॒ तना॑ गि॒रा । अ॒स्माके॑भि॒र्नृभि॑र्व॒यं सा॑स॒ह्याम॑ पृतन्य॒तो व॑नु॒याम॑ वनुष्य॒तो नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
yadindrāgnī janā ime vihvayante tanā girā asmākebhirnṛbhirvayaṃ sāsahyāma pṛtanyato vanuyāma vanuṣyato nabhantāmanyake same
If these people praise Indra and Agni like us, then O voice, come near. May we with men and kine win favor, conquer the wild—men dwelling in the forest, many heavens alike.

या नु श्वे॒ताव॒वो दि॒व उ॒च्चरा॑त॒ उप॒ द्युभिः॑ । इ॒न्द्रा॒ग्न्योरनु॑ व्र॒तमुहा॑ना यन्ति॒ सिन्ध॑वो॒ यान्सीं॑ ब॒न्धादमु॑ञ्चतां॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
yā nu śvetāvavo diva uccarāta upa dyubhiḥ indrāgnyoranu vratamuhānā yanti sindhavo yānsīṃ bandhādamuñcatāṃ nabhantāmanyake same
Those white roads that rise to heaven with the dawn—Indra and Agni follow the vow; the rivers that were bound they loosen, sending them to the sea—many heavens alike.

पू॒र्वीष्ट॑ इ॒न्द्रोप॑मातयः पू॒र्वीरु॒त प्रश॑स्तयः॒ सूनो॑ हि॒न्वस्य॑ हरिवः । वस्वो॑ वी॒रस्या॒पृचो॒ या नु साध॑न्त नो॒ धियो॒ नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
pūrvīṣṭa indropamātayaḥ pūrvīruta praśastayaḥ sūno hinvasya harivaḥ vasvo vīrasyāpṛco yā nu sādhanta no dhiyo nabhantāmanyake same
Indra, like the forerunner, famed among the mighty, is the son who conquers—may the Vasus, the heroic, grant us intellect that makes many others equal in heaven.

तं शि॑शीता सुवृ॒क्तिभि॑स्त्वे॒षं सत्वा॑नमृ॒ग्मिय॑म् । उ॒तो नु चि॒द्य ओज॑सा॒ शुष्ण॑स्या॒ण्डानि॒ भेद॑ति॒ जेष॒त्स्व॑र्वतीर॒पो नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
taṃ śiśītā suvṛktibhistveṣaṃ satvānamṛgmiyam uto nu cidya ojasā śuṣṇasyāṇḍāni bhedati jeṣatsvarvatīrapo nabhantāmanyake same
He, strengthened by well-formed praise, like a tame stag among beasts, cleaves the hardened ribs with vigour—may his might make many others equal in heaven.

तं शि॑शीता स्वध्व॒रं स॒त्यं सत्वा॑नमृ॒त्विय॑म् । उ॒तो नु चि॒द्य ओह॑त आ॒ण्डा शुष्ण॑स्य॒ भेद॒त्यजैः॒ स्व॑र्वतीर॒पो नभ॑न्तामन्य॒के स॑मे
taṃ śiśītā svadhvaraṃ satyaṃ satvānamṛtviyam uto nu cidya ohata āṇḍā śuṣṇasya bhedatyajaiḥ svarvatīrapo nabhantāmanyake same
He, strengthened by true proclamation, like a mighty guardian among living creatures, pierces the hardened egg of heat—may his prowess make many others equal in heaven.

ए॒वेन्द्रा॒ग्निभ्यां॑ पितृ॒वन्नवी॑यो मन्धातृ॒वद॑ङ्गिर॒स्वद॑वाचि । त्रि॒धातु॑ना॒ शर्म॑णा पातम॒स्मान्व॒यं स्या॑म॒ पत॑यो रयी॒णाम्
evendrāgnibhyāṃ pitṛvannavīyo mandhātṛvadaṅgirasvadavāci tridhātunā śarmaṇā pātamasmānvayaṃ syāma patayo rayīṇām
Like Indra and Agni, O ancestral fathers, speak ninefold as Mandhatri and Angiras spoke: by threefold power and glory may we be upheld — may we be leaders of the herds of wealth.
