प्राग्नये॑ त॒वसे॑ भरध्वं॒ गिरं॑ दि॒वो अ॑र॒तये॑ पृथि॒व्याः । यो विश्वे॑षाम॒मृता॑नामु॒पस्थे॑ वैश्वान॒रो वा॑वृ॒धे जा॑गृ॒वद्भिः॑
prāgnaye tavase bharadhvaṃ giraṃ divo arataye pṛthivyāḥ yo viśveṣāmamṛtānāmupasthe vaiśvānaro vāvṛdhe jāgṛvadbhiḥ
First, O Vasus, kindle your splendour; uplift the song for heaven and earth. He who upholds the immortals, the great Viśvānara, the sages roused with him.

पृ॒ष्टो दि॒वि धाय्य॒ग्निः पृ॑थि॒व्यां ने॒ता सिन्धू॑नां वृष॒भः स्तिया॑नाम् । स मानु॑षीर॒भि विशो॒ वि भा॑ति वैश्वान॒रो वा॑वृधा॒नो वरे॑ण
pṛṣṭo divi dhāyyagniḥ pṛthivyāṃ netā sindhūnāṃ vṛṣabhaḥ stiyānām sa mānuṣīrabhi viśo vi bhāti vaiśvānaro vāvṛdhāno vareṇa
The Agni, urged across the sky and on the earth, is leader of the streams, bull of the rivers and the support of waters. He appears to men in varied forms; the great Viśvānara increases with noble gifts.

त्वद्भि॒या विश॑ आय॒न्नसि॑क्नीरसम॒ना जह॑ती॒र्भोज॑नानि । वैश्वा॑नर पू॒रवे॒ शोशु॑चानः॒ पुरो॒ यद॑ग्ने द॒रय॒न्नदी॑देः
tvadbhiyā viśa āyannasiknīrasamanā jahatīrbhojanāni vaiśvānara pūrave śośucānaḥ puro yadagne darayannadīdeḥ
By your might, Viśvānara, you took away the water-line and abandoned food like pure streams. Viśvānara, erstwhile abundant eater, you cleaved the rivers for the towns that Agni might grant them sustenance.

तव॑ त्रि॒धातु॑ पृथि॒वी उ॒त द्यौर्वैश्वा॑नर व्र॒तम॑ग्ने सचन्त । त्वं भा॒सा रोद॑सी॒ आ त॑त॒न्थाज॑स्रेण शो॒चिषा॒ शोशु॑चानः
tava tridhātu pṛthivī uta dyaurvaiśvānara vratamagne sacanta tvaṃ bhāsā rodasī ā tatanthājasreṇa śociṣā śośucānaḥ
May your threefold power sustain earth and heaven, Viśvānara; Agni, keep the established rite. You are the radiant tongue that came forth with swift vigour, attentive giver, lavish in support.

त्वाम॑ग्ने ह॒रितो॑ वावशा॒ना गिरः॑ सचन्ते॒ धुन॑यो घृ॒ताचीः॑ । पतिं॑ कृष्टी॒नां र॒थ्यं॑ रयी॒णां वै॑श्वान॒रमु॒षसां॑ के॒तुमह्ना॑म्
tvāmagne harito vāvaśānā giraḥ sacante dhunayo ghṛtācīḥ patiṃ kṛṣṭīnāṃ rathyaṃ rayīṇāṃ vaiśvānaramuṣasāṃ ketumahnām
O Agni, singers call you beloved; they pour clarified butter and songs in your praise. Lord of the farmers, of chariots and of wealth, Viśvānara, you are the standard of our homesteads.

त्वे अ॑सु॒र्यं१॒॑ वस॑वो॒ न्यृ॑ण्व॒न्क्रतुं॒ हि ते॑ मित्रमहो जु॒षन्त॑ । त्वं दस्यू॒ँरोक॑सो अग्न आज उ॒रु ज्योति॑र्ज॒नय॒न्नार्या॑य
tve asuryaṃ1 vasavo nyṛṇvankratuṃ hi te mitramaho juṣanta tvaṃ dasyūm̐rokaso agna āja uru jyotirjanayannāryāya
You, O Asura-Vasu, the Vasus invoked, bestow mighty rites; for you, O Mitra, they recite. You drove away the ten tribes of foes; Agni generated bright light for the Aryans.

स जाय॑मानः पर॒मे व्यो॑मन्वा॒युर्न पाथः॒ परि॑ पासि स॒द्यः । त्वं भुव॑ना ज॒नय॑न्न॒भि क्र॒न्नप॑त्याय जातवेदो दश॒स्यन्
sa jāyamānaḥ parame vyomanvāyurna pāthaḥ pari pāsi sadyaḥ tvaṃ bhuvanā janayannabhi krannapatyāya jātavedo daśasyan
Born are you in the supreme sky and air, O lord, swift in strength. You beget the worlds; O Jātavedas, you were invoked for the portion of the lord.

ताम॑ग्ने अ॒स्मे इष॒मेर॑यस्व॒ वैश्वा॑नर द्यु॒मतीं॑ जातवेदः । यया॒ राधः॒ पिन्व॑सि विश्ववार पृ॒थु श्रवो॑ दा॒शुषे॒ मर्त्या॑य
tāmagne asme iṣamerayasva vaiśvānara dyumatīṃ jātavedaḥ yayā rādhaḥ pinvasi viśvavāra pṛthu śravo dāśuṣe martyāya
O Agni, grant us this bright atmospheric Viśvānara, Jātavedas, by which the wide pasture you water and the broad sound reaches mortals.

तं नो॑ अग्ने म॒घव॑द्भ्यः पुरु॒क्षुं र॒यिं नि वाजं॒ श्रुत्यं॑ युवस्व । वैश्वा॑नर॒ महि॑ नः॒ शर्म॑ यच्छ रु॒द्रेभि॑रग्ने॒ वसु॑भिः स॒जोषाः॑
taṃ no agne maghavadbhyaḥ purukṣuṃ rayiṃ ni vājaṃ śrutyaṃ yuvasva vaiśvānara mahi naḥ śarma yaccha rudrebhiragne vasubhiḥ sajoṣāḥ
Grant us, Agni, from the bountiful ones a heroic man, a man endowed with wealth and praise; Viśvānara magnify our glorious portion that it may be joyous with Rudras, Agni, and the Vasus.
