O Agni, singers call you beloved; they pour clarified butter and songs in your praise. Lord of the farmers, of chariots and of wealth, Viśvānara, you are the standard of our homesteads.
The horses (of Indra), full of ardour, worship you, Agni; the praises (of men), dispersers (of iniquity),accompanied by oblations, (honour you), the lord of men, the conveyer of riches, the Vaiśvānara of dawns, themanifester of days.
Agni, the tawny horses, loudly neighing our resonant hymns that drop with oil, attend thee; Lord of the tribes, our Charioteer of riches, Ensign of days, Vaisvanara of mornings.
