क्व१॒॑ त्या व॒ल्गू पु॑रुहू॒ताद्य दू॒तो न स्तोमो॑ऽविद॒न्नम॑स्वान् । आ यो अ॒र्वाङ्नास॑त्या व॒वर्त॒ प्रेष्ठा॒ ह्यस॑थो अस्य॒ मन्म॑न्
kva1 tyā valgū puruhūtādya dūto na stomo'vidannamasvān ā yo arvāṅnāsatyā vavarta preṣṭhā hyasatho asya manman
Where is that herald from the priestly line, the messenger who knows not praise? He who turned aside the hostile breath and began the voyage—truly he is the foremost of those called.

अरं॑ मे गन्तं॒ हव॑नाया॒स्मै गृ॑णा॒ना यथा॒ पिबा॑थो॒ अन्धः॑ । परि॑ ह॒ त्यद्व॒र्तिर्या॑थो रि॒षो न यत्परो॒ नान्त॑रस्तुतु॒र्यात्
araṃ me gantaṃ havanāyāsmai gṛṇānā yathā pibātho andhaḥ pari ha tyadvartiryātho riṣo na yatparo nāntarastuturyāt
Come to me, bring the sacrifice here; as the blind drinker drinks, receive this oblation. Let the moving rite encircle as the seer desires, not another, not hindered within.

अका॑रि वा॒मन्ध॑सो॒ वरी॑म॒न्नस्ता॑रि ब॒र्हिः सु॑प्राय॒णत॑मम् । उ॒त्ता॒नह॑स्तो युव॒युर्व॑व॒न्दा वां॒ नक्ष॑न्तो॒ अद्र॑य आञ्जन्
akāri vāmandhaso varīmannastāri barhiḥ suprāyaṇatamam uttānahasto yuvayurvavandā vāṃ nakṣanto adraya āñjan
He made the left cow flow, the richer streams, the excellent ash of the sacrificial hearth. With raised hands the youths looked on and kept watch, urging horses like a herd, striking the mountain.

ऊ॒र्ध्वो वा॑म॒ग्निर॑ध्व॒रेष्व॑स्था॒त्प्र रा॒तिरे॑ति जू॒र्णिनी॑ घृ॒ताची॑ । प्र होता॑ गू॒र्तम॑ना उरा॒णोऽयु॑क्त॒ यो नास॑त्या॒ हवी॑मन्
ūrdhvo vāmagniradhvareṣvasthātpra rātireti jūrṇinī ghṛtācī pra hotā gūrtamanā urāṇo'yukta yo nāsatyā havīman
Upwards the left-fire stood among the supports; the ancient ghee flowed in the oblation. The poured libation, well-measured, joined the breasts; he who does not refuse the offering accepted the hallowed gift.

अधि॑ श्रि॒ये दु॑हि॒ता सूर्य॑स्य॒ रथं॑ तस्थौ पुरुभुजा श॒तोति॑म् । प्र मा॒याभि॑र्मायिना भूत॒मत्र॒ नरा॑ नृतू॒ जनि॑मन्य॒ज्ञिया॑नाम्
adhi śriye duhitā sūryasya rathaṃ tasthau purubhujā śatotim pra māyābhirmāyinā bhūtamatra narā nṛtū janimanyajñiyānām
Placed on the summit, milked for splendour—the sun’s chariot stood firm with a hundred forearms. By the illusions of Maya, beings here were born; the rituals of men produced these sacred births.

यु॒वं श्री॒भिर्द॑र्श॒ताभि॑रा॒भिः शु॒भे पु॒ष्टिमू॑हथुः सू॒र्यायाः॑ । प्र वां॒ वयो॒ वपु॒षेऽनु॑ पप्त॒न्नक्ष॒द्वाणी॒ सुष्टु॑ता धिष्ण्या वाम्
yuvaṃ śrībhirdarśatābhirābhiḥ śubhe puṣṭimūhathuḥ sūryāyāḥ pra vāṃ vayo vapuṣe'nu paptannakṣadvāṇī suṣṭutā dhiṣṇyā vām
May you, youthful ones, be seen with radiant wealth, strengthened by auspicious blessings of the Sun. May our bodies gain vigor; may our words be prosperous, skillful, and victorious.

आ वां॒ वयोऽश्वा॑सो॒ वहि॑ष्ठा अ॒भि प्रयो॑ नासत्या वहन्तु । प्र वां॒ रथो॒ मनो॑जवा असर्जी॒षः पृ॒क्ष इ॒षिधो॒ अनु॑ पू॒र्वीः
ā vāṃ vayo'śvāso vahiṣṭhā abhi prayo nāsatyā vahantu pra vāṃ ratho manojavā asarjīṣaḥ pṛkṣa iṣidho anu pūrvīḥ
May the steeds that carry you, best of horses, bear you forth with swift drive. May the chariot, fleet of mind, be fitted; may the strong-breasted ones follow in front as heralds, eager and forward.

पु॒रु हि वां॑ पुरुभुजा दे॒ष्णं धे॒नुं न॒ इषं॑ पिन्वत॒मस॑क्राम् । स्तुत॑श्च वां माध्वी सुष्टु॒तिश्च॒ रसा॑श्च॒ ये वा॒मनु॑ रा॒तिमग्म॑न्
puru hi vāṃ purubhujā deṣṇaṃ dhenuṃ na iṣaṃ pinvatamasakrām stutaśca vāṃ mādhvī suṣṭutiśca rasāśca ye vāmanu rātimagman
The mighty one insured your strong-armed chiefs; he did not desire to milk the cow that wandered. Your praised ones, rich in sweetness and song—those who followed you came to the night-meeting.

उ॒त म॑ ऋ॒ज्रे पुर॑यस्य र॒घ्वी सु॑मी॒ळ्हे श॒तं पे॑रु॒के च॑ प॒क्वा । शा॒ण्डो दा॑द्धिर॒णिनः॒ स्मद्दि॑ष्टी॒न्दश॑ व॒शासो॑ अभि॒षाच॑ ऋ॒ष्वान्
uta ma ṛjre purayasya raghvī sumīḷhe śataṃ peruke ca pakvā śāṇḍo dāddhiraṇinaḥ smaddiṣṭīndaśa vaśāso abhiṣāca ṛṣvān
Rise up straight, O chariot of the city, speed forth; I have yoked a hundred swift bays and prepared cooked share. The leader gave offerings of milk and butter; with fixed gaze he invoked the hundredfold bands of seers.

सं वां॑ श॒ता ना॑सत्या स॒हस्राश्वा॑नां पुरु॒पन्था॑ गि॒रे दा॑त् । भ॒रद्वा॑जाय वीर॒ नू गि॒रे दा॑द्ध॒ता रक्षां॑सि पुरुदंससा स्युः
saṃ vāṃ śatā nāsatyā sahasrāśvānāṃ purupanthā gire dāt bharadvājāya vīra nū gire dāddhatā rakṣāṃsi purudaṃsasā syuḥ
Agree with us, O Nāsatya, for the path of a thousand steeds gave the manly course. To Bharadvāja and the brave one give speech on the mountain; may they become guardians and men of might.

आ वां॑ सु॒म्ने वरि॑मन्सू॒रिभिः॑ ष्याम्
ā vāṃ sumne varimansūribhiḥ ṣyām
May auspicious rivers pour bounty upon you, O Soma, and the surging waters bring you strength.
