यद॒द्य स्थः प॑रा॒वति॒ यद॑र्वा॒वत्य॑श्विना । यद्वा॑ पु॒रू पु॑रुभुजा॒ यद॒न्तरि॑क्ष॒ आ ग॑तम्
yadadya sthaḥ parāvati yadarvāvatyaśvinā yadvā purū purubhujā yadantarikṣa ā gatam
What now stands above, what stretches, O Ashvins; what is the man of many arms, what has come into the mid-air.

इ॒ह त्या पु॑रु॒भूत॑मा पु॒रू दंसां॑सि॒ बिभ्र॑ता । व॒र॒स्या या॒म्यध्रि॑गू हु॒वे तु॒विष्ट॑मा भु॒जे
iha tyā purubhūtamā purū daṃsāṃsi bibhratā varasyā yāmyadhrigū huve tuviṣṭamā bhuje
Here became that many-armed one, the man bore the portions. The passing of Varaśya, invoked by the priest, your portion was borne.

ई॒र्मान्यद्वपु॑षे॒ वपु॑श्च॒क्रं रथ॑स्य येमथुः । पर्य॒न्या नाहु॑षा यु॒गा म॒ह्ना रजां॑सि दीयथः
īrmānyadvapuṣe vapuścakraṃ rathasya yemathuḥ paryanyā nāhuṣā yugā mahnā rajāṃsi dīyathaḥ
Here the bodily forms placed the wheel of the chariot for those who pressed. They declare the periods: the generations were given by the mighty kings.

तदू॒ षु वा॑मे॒ना कृ॒तं विश्वा॒ यद्वा॒मनु॒ ष्टवे॑ । नाना॑ जा॒ताव॑रे॒पसा॒ सम॒स्मे बन्धु॒मेय॑थुः
tadū ṣu vāmenā kṛtaṃ viśvā yadvāmanu ṣṭave nānā jātāvarepasā samasme bandhumeyathuḥ
That which was done by the left hand and all that was done by the right—various-born beings bound us together like relatives.

आ यद्वां॑ सू॒र्या रथं॒ तिष्ठ॑द्रघु॒ष्यदं॒ सदा॑ । परि॑ वामरु॒षा वयो॑ घृ॒णा व॑रन्त आ॒तपः॑
ā yadvāṃ sūryā rathaṃ tiṣṭhadraghuṣyadaṃ sadā pari vāmaruṣā vayo ghṛṇā varanta ātapaḥ
When your Sun's chariot stood, always that swift one; around the left anger and repulsion kept away the heat and the burning.

यु॒वोरत्रि॑श्चिकेतति॒ नरा॑ सु॒म्नेन॒ चेत॑सा । घ॒र्मं यद्वा॑मरे॒पसं॒ नास॑त्या॒स्ना भु॑र॒ण्यति॑
yuvoratriściketati narā sumnena cetasā gharmaṃ yadvāmarepasaṃ nāsatyāsnā bhuraṇyati
Your thirtyfold youthful men perceive with wise minds. The warmth which in the left assemblage is not trusted, nourishes greatly.

उ॒ग्रो वां॑ ककु॒हो य॒यिः शृ॒ण्वे यामे॑षु संत॒निः । यद्वां॒ दंसो॑भिरश्वि॒नात्रि॑र्नराव॒वर्त॑ति
ugro vāṃ kakuho yayiḥ śaṛṇve yāmeṣu saṃtaniḥ yadvāṃ daṃsobhiraśvinātrirnarāvavartati
The fierce crier, the cuckoo, goes; hear in the night-guards the generations. What your teeth and the Ashvins' horses, manly ones, have chewed round about returns.

मध्व॑ ऊ॒ षु म॑धूयुवा॒ रुद्रा॒ सिष॑क्ति पि॒प्युषी॑ । यत्स॑मु॒द्राति॒ पर्ष॑थः प॒क्वाः पृक्षो॑ भरन्त वाम्
madhva ū ṣu madhūyuvā rudrā siṣakti pipyuṣī yatsamudrāti parṣathaḥ pakvāḥ pṛkṣo bharanta vām
Sweet streams, sweet youths—Rudra endowed with strength thirsts. What the firm-furred creature brings forth from the sea, the mature branches bear and fill the left side.

स॒त्यमिद्वा उ॑ अश्विना यु॒वामा॑हुर्मयो॒भुवा॑ । ता याम॑न्याम॒हूत॑मा॒ याम॒न्ना मृ॑ळ॒यत्त॑मा
satyamidvā u aśvinā yuvāmāhurmayobhuvā tā yāmanyāmahūtamā yāmannā mṛḷayattamā
“This is true,” say the Ashvins: “you are young and we are your mothers.” They called that a passage—they caused the better to be borne, not the weaker.

इ॒मा ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ वर्ध॑ना॒श्विभ्यां॑ सन्तु॒ शंत॑मा । या तक्षा॑म॒ रथा॑ँ इ॒वावो॑चाम बृ॒हन्नमः॑
imā brahmāṇi vardhanāśvibhyāṃ santu śaṃtamā yā takṣāma rathām̐ ivāvocāma bṛhannamaḥ
May these two, increasing in power like divine bulls, be most placid. As if shaping chariots and axles they spoke loudly with great praise.
