हयो॒ न वि॒द्वाँ अ॑युजि स्व॒यं धु॒रि तां व॑हामि प्र॒तर॑णीमव॒स्युव॑म् । नास्या॑ वश्मि वि॒मुचं॒ नावृतं॒ पुन॑र्वि॒द्वान्प॒थः पु॑रए॒त ऋ॒जु ने॑षति
hayo na vidvām̐ ayuji svayaṃ dhuri tāṃ vahāmi prataraṇīmavasyuvam nāsyā vaśmi vimucaṃ nāvṛtaṃ punarvidvānpathaḥ puraeta ṛju neṣati
O horse, the knower yoked not himself; I bear the burden of the chariot, the early steed. I am not subdued; the path of the wise is not closed: the straight way advances into the city.

अग्न॒ इन्द्र॒ वरु॑ण॒ मित्र॒ देवाः॒ शर्धः॒ प्र य॑न्त॒ मारु॑तो॒त वि॑ष्णो । उ॒भा नास॑त्या रु॒द्रो अध॒ ग्नाः पू॒षा भगः॒ सर॑स्वती जुषन्त
agna indra varuṇa mitra devāḥ śardhaḥ pra yanta mārutota viṣṇo ubhā nāsatyā rudro adha gnāḥ pūṣā bhagaḥ sarasvatī juṣanta
Agni, Indra, Varuṇa, Mitra, the gods, the strong Maruts, and Viṣṇu come forward. Both truthful ones, Rudra and the fires, Pūṣan and Bhaaga, Sarasvatī favor them.

इ॒न्द्रा॒ग्नी मि॒त्रावरु॒णादि॑तिं॒ स्वः॑ पृथि॒वीं द्यां म॒रुतः॒ पर्व॑ताँ अ॒पः । हु॒वे विष्णुं॑ पू॒षणं॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिं॒ भगं॒ नु शंसं॑ सवि॒तार॑मू॒तये॑
indrāgnī mitrāvaruṇāditiṃ svaḥ pṛthivīṃ dyāṃ marutaḥ parvatām̐ apaḥ huve viṣṇuṃ pūṣaṇaṃ brahmaṇaspatiṃ bhagaṃ nu śaṃsaṃ savitāramūtaye
Indra, Agni, Mitra, Varuṇa—may heaven, earth, and sky; the Maruts, mountains, and waters be praised. I invoke Viṣṇu, Pūṣan, Brahmaṇaspati, Bhaaga; I laud Savitār for his coming.

उ॒त नो॒ विष्णु॑रु॒त वातो॑ अ॒स्रिधो॑ द्रविणो॒दा उ॒त सोमो॒ मय॑स्करत् । उ॒त ऋ॒भव॑ उ॒त रा॒ये नो॑ अ॒श्विनो॒त त्वष्टो॒त विभ्वानु॑ मंसते
uta no viṣṇuruta vāto asridho draviṇodā uta somo mayaskarat uta ṛbhava uta rāye no aśvinota tvaṣṭota vibhvānu maṃsate
May Vishṇu, the swift, hear us; the waters, Soma, and generous ones be present. May the youthful heroes and the divine artisans, the Ashvins and Tvaṣṭṛ, attend and favor us.

उ॒त त्यन्नो॒ मारु॑तं॒ शर्ध॒ आ ग॑मद्दिविक्ष॒यं य॑ज॒तं ब॒र्हिरा॒सदे॑ । बृह॒स्पतिः॒ शर्म॑ पू॒षोत नो॑ यमद्वरू॒थ्यं१॒॑ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा
uta tyanno mārutaṃ śardha ā gamaddivikṣayaṃ yajataṃ barhirāsade bṛhaspatiḥ śarma pūṣota no yamadvarūthyaṃ1 varuṇo mitro aryamā
May Marut come forth; the bold one approached; the divine worship set in the open hall. Bṛhaspati, glory to Pūṣan, Yama as protector, Varuṇa, Mitra, and Aryamā attend.

उ॒त त्ये नः॒ पर्व॑तासः सुश॒स्तयः॑ सुदी॒तयो॑ न॒द्य१॒॑स्त्राम॑णे भुवन् । भगो॑ विभ॒क्ता शव॒साव॒सा ग॑मदुरु॒व्यचा॒ अदि॑तिः श्रोतु मे॒ हव॑म्
uta tye naḥ parvatāsaḥ suśastayaḥ sudītayo nadya1strāmaṇe bhuvan bhago vibhaktā śavasāvasā gamaduruvyacā aditiḥ śrotu me havam
May the mountain regions come to us, well-ordered and generous, rivers and trodden paths for the sacrifice. Divine shares apportioned, bring the life-breath: Aditya, hear our invocation and accept the oblation.

दे॒वानां॒ पत्नी॑रुश॒तीर॑वन्तु नः॒ प्राव॑न्तु नस्तु॒जये॒ वाज॑सातये । याः पार्थि॑वासो॒ या अ॒पामपि॑ व्र॒ते ता नो॑ देवीः सुहवाः॒ शर्म॑ यच्छत
devānāṃ patnīruśatīravantu naḥ prāvantu nastujaye vājasātaye yāḥ pārthivāso yā apāmapi vrate tā no devīḥ suhavāḥ śarma yacchata
May the wives of the gods be gracious to us; may they advance and grant strength to the wealth of the sacrificer. The earthly and the aquatic vow-keepers—may those goddesses, auspicious and kindly, give protection.

उ॒त ग्ना व्य॑न्तु दे॒वप॑त्नीरिन्द्रा॒ण्य१॒॑ग्नाय्य॒श्विनी॒ राट् । आ रोद॑सी वरुणा॒नी शृ॑णोतु॒ व्यन्तु॑ दे॒वीर्य ऋ॒तुर्जनी॑नाम्
uta gnā vyantu devapatnīrindrāṇya1gnāyyaśvinī rāṭ ā rodasī varuṇānī śaṛṇotu vyantu devīrya ṛturjanīnām
May the fire-gods bring the divine wives within—Indrāṇī, Agnānī, the Ashviní-queens. May Dawn and Varuṇa hear; let the goddesses bring forth the seasons' fruitful powers.
