अच्छा॑ वो अ॒ग्निमव॑से दे॒वं गा॑सि॒ स नो॒ वसुः॑ । रास॑त्पु॒त्र ऋ॑षू॒णामृ॒तावा॑ पर्षति द्वि॒षः
acchā vo agnimavase devaṃ gāsi sa no vasuḥ rāsatputra ṛṣūṇāmṛtāvā parṣati dviṣaḥ
We invoke you, O Agni, as the god settled among us; be our wealth. The giver of abundant offspring to the seers pours forth immortality, overcoming foes.

स हि स॒त्यो यं पूर्वे॑ चिद्दे॒वास॑श्चि॒द्यमी॑धि॒रे । होता॑रं म॒न्द्रजि॑ह्व॒मित्सु॑दी॒तिभि॑र्वि॒भाव॑सुम्
sa hi satyo yaṃ pūrve ciddevāsaścidyamīdhire hotāraṃ mandrajihvamitsudītibhirvibhāvasum
Truly you are the truthful one whom the ancients and the gods placed within firm purpose; the priest with gentle tongue by illustrious rites made splendid the realm.

स नो॑ धी॒ती वरि॑ष्ठया॒ श्रेष्ठ॑या च सुम॒त्या । अग्ने॑ रा॒यो दि॑दीहि नः सुवृ॒क्तिभि॑र्वरेण्य
sa no dhītī variṣṭhayā śreṣṭhayā ca sumatyā agne rāyo didīhi naḥ suvṛktibhirvareṇya
Be our deliberation, with highest excellence and best counsel. O Agni, grant us wealth, favouring us with good spoken blessings.

अ॒ग्निर्दे॒वेषु॑ राजत्य॒ग्निर्मर्ते॑ष्वावि॒शन् । अ॒ग्निर्नो॑ हव्य॒वाह॑नो॒ऽग्निं धी॒भिः स॑पर्यत
agnirdeveṣu rājatyagnirmarteṣvāviśan agnirno havyavāhano'gniṃ dhībhiḥ saparyata
Agni shines among the gods, Agni enters into mortals; Agni carries our offerings—may Agni with sanctified minds encompass the fire.

अ॒ग्निस्तु॒विश्र॑वस्तमं तु॒विब्र॑ह्माणमुत्त॒मम् । अ॒तूर्तं॑ श्राव॒यत्प॑तिं पु॒त्रं द॑दाति दा॒शुषे॑
agnistuviśravastamaṃ tuvibrahmāṇamuttamam atūrtaṃ śrāvayatpatiṃ putraṃ dadāti dāśuṣe
Agni of famed glory, indeed in you is the highest sacred power; swift‑moving, he brings a lord and gives a son to the sacrificer.

अ॒ग्निर्द॑दाति॒ सत्प॑तिं सा॒साह॒ यो यु॒धा नृभिः॑ । अ॒ग्निरत्यं॑ रघु॒ष्यदं॒ जेता॑र॒मप॑राजितम्
agnirdadāti satpatiṃ sāsāha yo yudhā nṛbhiḥ agniratyaṃ raghuṣyadaṃ jetāramaparājitam
Agni gives a good realm, the bold one who fights like men; Agni removes implacable foes, the unconquered of the Raghu clan.

यद्वाहि॑ष्ठं॒ तद॒ग्नये॑ बृ॒हद॑र्च विभावसो । महि॑षीव॒ त्वद्र॒यिस्त्वद्वाजा॒ उदी॑रते
yadvāhiṣṭhaṃ tadagnaye bṛhadarca vibhāvaso mahiṣīva tvadrayistvadvājā udīrate
What you carry forth, O great rites, is displayed for Agni by the splendid oblations; your wealth, like a mighty bull, rends forth.

तव॑ द्यु॒मन्तो॑ अ॒र्चयो॒ ग्रावे॑वोच्यते बृ॒हत् । उ॒तो ते॑ तन्य॒तुर्य॑था स्वा॒नो अ॑र्त॒ त्मना॑ दि॒वः
tava dyumanto arcayo grāvevocyate bṛhat uto te tanyaturyathā svāno arta tmanā divaḥ
Your radiant realms are called the broad ones of heaven; as your moving ones extend, so the heavens give forth their own by their spirit.

ए॒वाँ अ॒ग्निं व॑सू॒यवः॑ सहसा॒नं व॑वन्दिम । स नो॒ विश्वा॒ अति॒ द्विषः॒ पर्ष॑न्ना॒वेव॑ सु॒क्रतुः॑
evām̐ agniṃ vasūyavaḥ sahasānaṃ vavandima sa no viśvā ati dviṣaḥ parṣannāveva sukratuḥ
Thus the wealthy hymns very quickly lauded Agni; he became for us all‑conquering against foes, a bringer of splendour.
